My buddy and I rented SUPs today from NGO and had a great day at near by Guana State Park. NGO has a great selection of gear and good rental equipment as well. They delivered the boards to us and gave us tips on what to look for while on the water. If you are new to SUP or experienced I would highly recommend these friendly folks for a great time. Be sure to pet Tank while you are there!

I took a kayaking tour with this company on Mothers Day. The tour was very nice and very informative. The kayaks were in good condition and the tour guy was very friendly and he showed us and taught us so many things about the local wild life. Thank you so much for an amazing time!

This place was a great find. They very friendly and accommodating. Our guide was Erin(or Aaron?) and he was extremely knowledgeable giving us time and tips for our first kayak adventure. He said it had been years since anyone tipped over. I doubted him but he was right. The hours we spent on the water with him were entertaining and interesting. The store, the guide and experience were simply top notch. We will return.

Friendly rental shop with everything you need to adventure out into the Guana River and preserve. My boyfriend and I were visiting Ponte Vedra and this was the nearest place to rent kayaks that we did not have to transport to a dock(I drive a small car). The staff is very friendly and helpful. They can show you how to use equipment if you’ve never been out on the water. The area of the Guana River which you embark from is calm and not too deep, so it’s perfect for beginners to learn the mechanics of SUP or kayaking. It’s also on the intracoastal, so it’s practically impossible to get lost too(you can only go south and back north for ~15 miles before the delta). There is vast amounts peaceful river to relax on or to get your exercise in. I rented a tandem kayak for 2 hours for about $ 30, which is a very reasonable price. Obviously, you can rent for less or more time… however long you choose to be out on the river. You get all the equipment needed before you are pushed off in the little inlet that leads to the river. The kayak we received looked almost new; it felt sturdy, safe, and it was clean. Something I noted when we returned from our excursion was in the back of the NGO building, there was a worker cleaning some returned paddleboards. This business takes care of their equipment, and you can be sure you’re taking out quality pieces on the river. The NGO store offers lots of different items for your water sports preferences: some clothes, fish and tackle supplies, and specialty sports equipment. There are 2 bathrooms for changing inside too. Bring your own sunscreen, snacks and beverages for your excursion. I highly recommend using bug spray during summer months. Bring a camera and you can catch the different birds and jumping fish on the river. Remember, use the cell phone tower as a directional landmark, and turn at the conch shell marked NGO!

My husband and I had a great time this morning on our kayak adventure. We were going to drive an hour north to visit Amelia Island, but decided to try a local business(and I am glad we did!) We were greeted by a very nice girl, who was knowledgable and helped us rent our kayaks. After brief instruction, we were off! The ramp into the swamp was very cool — there are tons of trees and beautiful green leaves all over the water. Once you pass through the narrow inlet you are in a large body of water. While kayaking we saw various birds and some smaller alligators. There are beautiful houses along the outer banks, so you always have something to look out. The water was clear and shallow, but we didn’t see any fish. We would definitely come back and use their kayaks agin! Thank you NGO!

great owners and fantastic service. we pay a very nominal fee to launch our kayaks and park our trailers and our friends who don’t have kayaks rent from this great family so we can can all paddle from their shop and do north Guana as a group. my wife loves the shop and us fishing folks like the tackle products.
