For those who love Manhattan or Captain Jay’s chicken wings, take a little drive to Nick’s corner in Pontiac, MI. I love chicken wings and Nick’s corner has the best!!! I promise you will LOVE Nick’s Corner chicken wings!!! His chicken wings are always fresh and good. They are simply the best! Did I mention he is always there cooking making sure the chicken is fresh and clean along with the grease? I always see him rather it is day or night smiling and cooking in the back. Plus, he is one of the nicest men you will ever meet and ensures you will have the best customer service experience. The restaurant/coney island/diner is clean. Him and his staff are very nice and approachable, they are like family. I work in Pontiac, MI and think this is one of Pontiac’s Best Kept Secrets.

We visited Nick’s for the first time on Sunday. It’s an interesting place. The people are very friendly, service is fast and accurate, prices are great, and the food is impeccable. We started off easy with eggs, hash browns, sausage, ham and bacon with Texas toast. Great breakfast for a great price — really properly prepared sunny side up eggs, perfect bacon, delicious ham and sausage — the Texas Toast is just the right thickness and balance of crispy and soft. Would have tried the breakfast Belvedere or a Bonneville or something else, but those would be too much for our day’s plans. All that said, the physical place is a remnant of Pontiac’s bad old days. After entering you’re in a closed foyer and facing a security glass carry out window with a bullet proof carry out turn table. Go through a second door to the right to get to the dining area, which is also the kitchen and prep area. Layout is super weird and could be greatly optimized for a lot more tables. Huge windows are all covered top to bottom with blackout panels that advertise outside. It is clean and pleasant, patrons were having a fine time. I think Nick is sitting on a really legendary breakfast joint that just needs a little push into the present day. All that said, we’ll definitely be back for one of those house specialties when laying around all day in a food coma is in the plans.

Talk about great wings and waffle! Hudson Café has nothing in Nicks. Delicious us the best description of the food. In addition to the awesome food you are treated to Nick’s warm hospitality. He visits with customers and knows most by name. This will certainly be a regular place for us to grab breakfast.

Riding our bikes between the Clinton River Trail and the West Bloomfield Trail, we decided to stop at Nick’s Corner for breakfast based on Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. The wings were some of the best we had ever had. The waffle was crisp, filling and delicious. We love the chicken and wings at Hudson Café in Detroit, but I think Nick’s is our new favorite. Tiffany, our server, was friendly, attentive and efficient. The dining room was small, but filled with a steady stream of locals who all seemed to be friends with Nick. We chatted with a family who sat next to us. The ambiance at Nicks is like eating in your favorite relatives home, enjoying the meal with friends and family. And then there’s Nick. He personally greets everyone who comes into his restaurant. Nick spent time talking with is about his love for the Pontiac community and its residents. With his excellent recipes and freshly prepared food, he would enjoy success in any of the surrounding communities. Yet Nick chooses to remain in Pontiac. He treats his customers well, serving great food at a reasonable price. Nick also prepares Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for over 1500 people, delivering plates to home kind seniors. Special guy. We will definitely be back to try many of Nicks other creative recipes. The Bellvedere looked amazing and was definitely enough for two. A Pontiac treasure.

If you haven’t mustered the courage to step into this place, you are missing out. My brother recently found this place and made it a point to take me, his boys and my four year old son. This is a local gem. The food is hand made(by Nick) and delicious. The first thing you need to know that a Bonneville is a cassarole/pizza hybrid that is immensely sized for the price. I don’t know if Nick invented it, but you should try one of many varieties they offer. We had the breakfast belvedere and the Nick’s special belvedere, as well as the hand breaded chicken wings. The wings were top notch and immensely satisfying. But the belvederes… they were amazing, and unlike anything I’ve found anywhere else. From the friendly staff, to Nick the chef and owner himself coming out to greet us; the service was excellent. Try this place. If it was in any other town than Pontiac, you’d already know about it.
