came here for the first time today after hearing about how good it was from several friends and family members. I ordered the baked mac and cheese and it was delicious! huge portions, you will definitely be taking home leftovers. Also got a «slice» of seven layer cake(more like half the cake, definitely not complaining though!) and it was phenomenal. will definitely be enjoying my leftovers tomorrow for lunch :) the service was great and the food came out super quick. this place is worth the hype, definitely give it a try!

Suffice it to say, I have had a lot of deli experience in my life — from both sides of the counter. Bronx has pretty good food. Here’s the big but: But, someone should tell them that they’re not in New York and they’re not the Carnegie Deli. The Bronx prices are way out of line with the quantity of food you get elsewhere. Twice we tried the ‘Big Mouth’ Reuben and it was smaller than and not as delicious as Tony’s Deli on Orchard Lake.(I have no affiliation w/Tony’s Deli other than as regulars) They make such a big deal of the size of their sandwiches and charge at least a third more than anywhere else, that people believe them. Not so! Their soups are really good, but $ 4.95 for a cup of daily soup? I just don’t think their product is as good as other locations or as plentiful — especially for the price.

My first time there, I ordered a tuna melt with red peppers on an onion roll. It was delicious. Our second time involved ordering the same sandwich as a carry out, that hubby & I could split while driving up north. It was awesome! She wrapped each half individually, packaged the pickles separately in ziploc bags, and gave lots of napkins! Very enjoyable! The third time, I ordered the same sandwich, the onion roll was NOT grilled, and the sandwich was cold. The operative word when ordering a Tuna Melt is «MELT»…I sent it back to be grilled, but again, it came back with a toasted onion roll, but a cold slice of swiss on cold tuna salad! WTH? I was disappointed, and now hesitate to return. Too bad, because I liked the first two sandwiches a LOT… :(

Great sandwiches. Seems pricey but well worth it. Would recommend to anyone. I believe they even serve beer here.

I ordered takeout today. I picked up a(small sized) #2 Big Mouth Pastrami hold the coleslaw(I received the coleslaw on the side which was fresh and ok tasting) with fries(small sized which is big enough for two to three people). I enjoyed the pastrami it was something new that I wanted to try. I think it could have used a bit more Russian dressing though. The fries are ok made better when I added salt. I’ve been here before and usually get the Italian Bronx sub which is great! I’ve tried the garlic fries and they are good the aioli sauce is a must for me. Only reason I gave this place a four star is because the kitchen area(which you can see from the register) and bar area need a serious upgrade! I like the feel of the place the pictures on the walls is a nice piece of history but the kitchen needs a renovation.

Good deli food. I had the corned beef and pastrami on rye with coleslaw and thousand island. My wife got an Italian sub. Sandwiches were both excellent. I also tried the matzo ball soup, very nice. The garlic fries were delicious as well. I ordered the small sandwich and ate the whole thing. We finished everything on the table. Only complaint is it’s pricey. Deli’s are expensive, lunch for 2 was like $ 40 with Iced Teas. I wish I could afford to go more often.

I’ve had some great sandwiches here nice and cozy inside. Large portions and you can get a beer also. Nice menu and fries are good here also. Little on the prices side though but big enough to split.

My first visit to the Pontiac location. Jill was our server. She was prompt, attentive, knowledgeable and was correct about the ‘small’ fries — it is plenty for two to share. The corned beef reuben was very good: Sy Ginsburg corned beef, great tangy sauerkraut and swiss. It was lightly sauced, with another container of sauce on the side. I like my rye grilled to the point of a slight crunch. For my tastes, the rye was just a tad under-grilled. Lots of craft beers on the menu … along with the usual American swill. The dining area included a good mix of 6-person booths, 2&4-top tables and plenty of counter seating. The facility was clean and will maintained. The one TV had the volume set appropriately. The one unisex bathroom was clean and stocked. WiFi signal was a tad erratic. Booming one moment, very weak the next. It is not encrypted, so it is unwise to use the WiFi for anything requiring a password. CCW friendly. I paid with a GroupOn. No fuss. They even gave me a 20%-off coupon for the next visit. I will indeed return.

The best place for Fish and Chips and they are not on the menu~~~~ Ha ha! Go Figure! I went in with my Mom, ordered a Ruben and saw a man eating the fish n chips at table next to us. I asked the waitress if we could try them also. Mom and I split the Fish n Chips with awesome garlicy tartar sauce and wished we hadnt ordered the Ruben. It was nothing special.

This is our second time coming here overall I like the vibe of this place and the food and service is great! We split Hectors spicy chicken with garlic fries, when I read that it has jalapeños it kinda scares me but they were mild filled with flavor though, great place I will be here often

Got take out for 2, first time visit. I’m big on ordering fancy salads at places, and enjoyed the raspberry/walnut/bleu cheese/romaine one. Also liked the grilled chicken panini. Rueben was mediocre(the #1, large.) Clam chowder pretty gross(big clam chowder fan.) Kind of expensive food($ 45 total.) Overall, good(not great) food. Will be returning in the future to dine in and drink craft beers and bloody marys. Atmosphere seemed chill, staff friendly.

How have I never been here before? I had The Bronx Ruben with turkey and it was absolutely delicious. And celery soda? I had to try that too. It was so weird, but I couldn’t stop drinking it. My waitress, I forget her name, she was blond and she was so nice and attentive. This is the kind of place that you’d have to wait for a table if you were in Detroit. I will certainly be back on a Saturday for brunch to try out all of their bloody marys. A++++++++++++

I visited this establishment for the first time ever. I’m new to the area and while driving by I saw a lot of vehicles in the parking lot of the Bronx. I stopped in for a carry out and loved the ambiance of the deli. I go to the counter and it hit me like a brick. The prices of these deli sandwiches were inflated to say the least. I order a small $ 10 Big Mouth Corn Beef sandwich and fries to go. Both were really tasty but the sandwich should have been labeled extra small. It was a well flavored sandwich, nothing to write home about. The fries were awesome, they had sea salt pepper flavor and they were just the right temperature. The whole meal was just shy of $ 14, so I think a drink should’ve been included.

What on gods great earth have I been doing? I’ve missed out on the joy of life that is The Bronx Deli for too long. –Ginsberg Bomber: Sy Ginsberg Pastrami & corned beef, with slaw and Russian. I got mine on a grilled onion roll. I’ve had the default rye elsewhere, it’s heavily as swell. This was the epitome of greatness. A crunch to the pressed onion roll meets silky smooth housemade Russian, all teeming with the juiciness of United Meat and Deli corned beef and pastrami. wow, WoW, WOW! –Topors dill!!! Old DIll upon request. I’ve never been to a restaurant that serves my familys favorite pickle. Topors is something my dad raised me on, and I share it will all my friends because that old dill sour reminds me of the crock dills of years past. –Bloody Mary w/blue cheese stuffed peppadew peppers. Peppadew peppers are a sweet pepper that I could eat for dessert. Stuff it with blue cheese, and it’s divine. See the pic of the Bloody Mary menu. $ 3 off 11am-3pm. Best bloody mary I’ve ever had. The worchester sauce gave it the right kick, and v8 is a great base. Has a bit of kick, but not to much. Celery Salt rim available upon request, which I did and loved. Served with an Topors pickle, — Garlic parsley fires. ummm, get it. Die happy. I need more of this now. NOWMOAR

Great spot and good sandwiches. I get the corned beef or turkey club. I must admit the telegraph spot original is a better spot than the 12 mile spot if eating in. Both are solid. I do want to try the pizza at the 12 mile locale. Looked tasty. But again, Ive eaten my share of Delis and this is quality. They use Sy Ginsberg meats btw. This is my top deli spot at present time. Salads are impressive.

I used to get carry out from here often at it was always good. Today I reunited with the place and ate there — I really liked it. The atmosphere is a little strange, like a small buffalo wild wings. But a deli. The food is good. We had garlic fries, soup and sandwiches. I loved my pickle. It was good. The service was coney island-esque. I would come back, dinner would be a VERY casual affair.

This place is great. Went here with my mother in law for lunch. After living in NY for 2 years I can say that they nailed it here with the size and portions of meat that they give you. This is just like a NY deli well minus the tables. I had the corned beef with horseradish not russian dressing, which is ewww not supposed to go on corned beef. It was very tasty! We also got the garlic fries which were so good. However if you are sharing them with 3 or more people get the large which I am glad we did since the server said to get a regular and that would not have been enough for everyone to share. All in all great place service needs some work since she messed up an order we had and did not explain the menu well not sizes. But nice place good food will go back.
