Exactly what you would expect from a small town diner. Older crowd, tons of locals, and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced! Will return soon. Street parking is necessary, as Coburn’s doesn’t have a dedicated parking lot.

Nothing special about this restaurant. Food quality and preparation, service and ambiance are just average. Ate there once and have no desire to return as better options exist

Stopped in for a quick breakfast the other day. Menu was average, I thought prices were a little high. The food was average, pretty bland. The décor was cute and reminded me of a small town diner, which it was. Service was lacking I could’ve used a second cup of coffee but couldn’t seem to get the attention of anyone working there. They were very friendly but unattentive especially since there were only two other tables of guests in there. Probably won’t go there again and will instead check out some other place in town.

Prices on menu appears to be high, Decorations are small town like and clean. Food was fair, there was about 6 locals drinking coffee talking about local things. nothing too outstanding or unique for the prices on menu.

Stopped by here en route to Forks for the«best brunch in Port Angeles.» Eh, I don’t think it was the best, but it was okay. Inside is pretty small but actually has quite a few tables. Looks like it’s full of regulars. There’s also counter seating. Décor is pretty country and old. Lots of fake flowers in vases. Got the monte cristo sandwich for brunch. It was a generous portion but a bit too eggy and moist. Otherwise, I thought it was pretty good with the dusted powdered sugar. Came with a side of french fries. Prices were reasonable, and the service was great. It’s a few streets up from the main Port Angeles area near the water, so you may miss it. But, there’s plenty of parking out front.

Stopped in on Sunday morning for breakfast before heading back to Seattle from my performance. I had the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs. The portions were large, food was tasty, and the atmosphere was cozy and like home. If they could’ve been a little faster that would’ve awesome. To their credit, the place was hopping for 8am on a Sunday so that might have something to do with it. Overall, I enjoyed my stop over and will be coming back the next time I’m up that way.

Cute family restaurant with great service. I had eggs, homemade hash browns(really good!) and wheat toast with freezer jam(yum!). My husband had a vegetable omelet that he really enjoyed. All around great food.

A very simple place, kitch describes the décor. The menu is without pretense, simple. The food is done acceptably but without any particular character. The waitress was nice but slow. I read the other reviews and thought this place was special. It is not. It is adequate, but no more. Don’t go out of your way to try it. The most expensive thing on the menu was a chef salad, made with lunch meat sliced and packaged cheese slices. Enuf said.

This place is great! You wouldn’t think so from the outside, but you must try the food! Plus the staff was very friendly. Wish I had found this place sooner.

We love this place! We have eaten there and ordered out. The staff and patrons are very friendly. It’s definitely a «small town restaurant» but that’s what makes it so great! They have expanded and can now hold more tables which is nice. The gravy is super yummy… we love the chicken fried steak special on Sundays! Never had lunch there but I am sure it’s good too :) Bring cash as they don’t take cards.

Hmmm… not sure why this had all 5 star reviews. The service was great, and our server was nothing but friendly. But we walked in and it smelled like smoke, found out it was cash only, and all had second thoughts. I had the turkey melt, which I would rate 1.5÷5 stars. The turkey looked like questionable lunch meat and the cries had no seasoning. Others had a chicken fried steak sandwich and cod sandwich — both were«good». Maybe the breakfast is better than lunch?

Coburn’s Café is a quaint restaurant with a warm and inviting feel to it. The waitress we had was polite and friendly. Service was outstanding. Our food came quickly and even though it was just breakfast, we were impressed at how good the food was. The Chicken Fried Steak and Coburn Special are great choices for breakfast. Be prepared to pay for your meal with cash or a check because they don’t take cards. Other than that, everything was great and I would recommend stopping in if you have the chance!

This is THE place for breakfast and early lunch in all of Port Angeles. The menu is filled with options of deliciousness, and the atmosphere is quaint. The place only seats about 35, so it fills up quick. Daily specials and homemade soups are always in rotation. The potato salad is tangy and delightful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good, filling breakfast.

My wife and I were camping in the ONP and headed into Port Angeles for food followed by hiking at Hurricane Ridge. We parked on the side of a road to Unilocal for breakfast ideas. Turns out that we happened to park in front of Coburn’s. After reading the one stellar review, we decided to give it a shot. Wow! Not disappointed in the least. It’s true that it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s what is on the inside that counts. The décor is kitchy, but fitting. My wife especially loved the blue lacy bathroom. I ordered the Coburn’s Special(biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs), my wife got the Mini Special(bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast). Moments after placing our order, we overheard a local couple request gravy on their hash browns. We both said aloud, «you can do that!?». At which point I ran to my waiter and requested the gravy for my wife’s hash browns. Our food was received in about 10 minutes and hot off the griddle. The gravy hash browns were amazing. My wife had to defend them with her butter knife and fork. I did manage to get a few fork fulls, despite her best efforts. We left happy and raving about how this was the most satisfying(and affordable) meal since we started our 2 week tour of the PNW. We loved it so much that we hit it up the very next morning as we left WA for Canada. This time we both ordered the Mini Special with gravy so as to avoid any fork stabbings. TL;DR — eat here and order gravy on your hash browns! This place will not disappoint.

I am almost afraid to write a review of this place for fear that hoards of people will come and ruin it. Well… maybe that’s not too likely in Port Angeles. We were out walking around the neighborhood from a vacation home rental up here and saw this place. It did not look like much from the outside. We saw some customers walking in from different streets yelling hello to on another… a local place. The inside is kind of a homey country funky décor(painted panorama of PA on a long lumberman’s saw hanging from the ceiling). There was a U shaped counter in the middle of the place with about 8 seats… all filled with locals talking about hunting, retirement, vegan food… you name it. There are about 8 tables. Lots of conversations going on at the counter and from the counter to the tables. Within a minute of sitting down we had table service. Very clear and polite introductions to the special. Since we were near the OP mountains and it was bout 30 something outside, we figured eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and toast were required. Their special of the day was scrambled eggs with sausage, jalapenos, pepperjack, onion… sounded good but more spice than we were looking for. While we waited for our food(10 minutes) we were served some good coffee, both the caf and decaf. Although I had the impression not many people ask for decaf… but they brewed up a pot for me. We could look out the window and see the sunrise hitting the snow capped mountains that are only about 15 miles away… I think(they look closer). Although the food we ordered was pretty basic… eggs over medium suasage, bacon, hash brown potatoes, toast… Everything was done perfectly, freshly cooked and hot on our plates. There was lots of humming going on while we ate(a sure sign we enjoyed the food). My wife was particularly impressed that they had a little packet of marionberry jam. So does a funky local neighborhood restaurant serving basic good food deserve 5 stars… I say that if it more than satisfies your every need of the moment … it is… If we move up here(that’s why we are up here looking) we hope that we could be one of those people at the counter some day.
