I pass this place all the time on Highway 101, and have always wanted to give it a try. It’s a roadside diner that lives up to that billing in terms of layout, menu, and experience. Service was fine. It is what it is. The parking lot is typically jammed in the morning, so I’m guessing it’s a classic breakfast joint, but me and a friend decided to give it a try for lunch. My friend had a «special» ¼-pound cheeseburger and fries(the array of burgers on the regular menu are ½-pounders), and he said it was good. I, however, ordered the chicken tenders with tater tots for $ 10.99. Ugh. Possibly the worst chicken tenders I’ve ever eaten… three smallish ones which had been badly over-cooked. At least the tots were tasty. So they whiffed on the chicken but maybe try something else. Might drag the family back for breakfast someday.

A great place to eat. I wish we had discovered this little«local» diner sooner since we have been here for a week. I would have had a majority of my meals here. They serve breakfast all day. This evening I finished off a 2 egg and Iron steak meal with hash browns and wheat toast with a cup of caluleflower soup, all very good.

Ate at Fairmount Diner, aka Fairmont Diner, for first time this morning. Food was good, portions, large, service good, prices fair. Breakfast all-day! Ambiance is 100% diner. I plan to return in the near future and try a ½ pound burger!
