I love to get a chance to browse in gifty-type stores when we go on vacation. We had just grabbed a bite to eat next door to Fiddleheads at an excellent coffee shop and the items in the windows looked fun and interesting so I suggested that Hubby and I pop in. Lots of candles and cards, beautiful decorative items for the home and garden as well as pretty things for ones self or to give as gifts to special people. While I wandered off to look, Hubby began to talk with the owners and it turns out they are transplants from the Midwest and haven’t owned the shop all that long, although they have lived in the area for several years. So Hubby and they talked college basketball and football while I took my time. One small area caught my eye as it said«sale» and that ALWAYS catches my attention! There was a beautiful vintage floor lamp in the display that was marked with such a reasonable price that I literally would have regretted it for years if I hadn’t have brought it home with us. Hubby just rolled his eyes and decided to indulge me. So we went to Washington state and brought home a Floor Lamp! NOONE could have seen that coming! PS: It wasn’t the easiest item I could have chosen to acquire since, even taken apart as much as possible, it still stretched the width of our car trunk. Once in a while, I’d hear some mumbling as Hubby was repacking the trunk with our luggage. I’m pretty sure he was saying how much he loves the lamp…
