We bought $ 100 in wine and still had to pay the tasting fee. We taste in Yakima, Woodinville, and Sonoma all the time and have never had someone not waive the fees if we bought bottles. Poor taste, Olympic winery.

No tasting fee waiver! Total Tasting Foul(TTF)! I have had this winery on my list to visit for a long time. The tasting room and winery is located in a beautiful location: Old refinished barn, beautiful views, garden.. . the whole works. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to enjoy having«out of towners» swing by for a tasting. The cost: $ 5 for 5. I particularly liked the Lemberger and Sweet Syrah. OC has a variety of whites and reds, and apparently has a sparkling white and a cider. What I did not like was the fact that I bought three bottles and two glasses and was charged the $ 10 tasting fee for two tastings. I did not notice the fee was charged until after I left and looked at the receipt. Total Tasting Foul(TTF)! They need to change the policy and waive the tasting fee. Other than the TTF, Olympic Cellars had good wine and a beautiful location.

A friend and I visited this winery during the Red Wine and Chocolate winery tour 2÷8÷13. I was excited to visit because of the way this business was portrayed as owned by three women — female entrepreneurs sounded intriguing. It was a little challenging to get to the parking lot from westbound 101 — had to either drive down a questionable muddy road or do a u-turn on 101 as the winery is on the south side of the highway. The winery looked charming from the outside, and well kept. We went in and found the place to be devoid of personality. The store was well stocked and attractively appointed. The woman helping us was not one of the owners but had zero interest in selling us wine or making our experience enjoyable. She made little conversation, barely bothered to look at our choices on the checklist, and simply lacked customer service skills. Perhaps the event was overwhelming; I saw several staff, including two owners, floating around the store and helping folks. A large crowd entered just behind us and we had newcomers pushing into us to get to the counter for the tasting. The set-up was not well done to accommodate the crowding for this tour. The wine labels are fun, being custom-painted by local artists. The wine was lackluster as was the greeting and enthusiasm of the staff. Bummer — it’s a beautiful setting but I wouldn’t drive for over two hours again to visit this place again and will not recommend the product.

Wonderful wines, wonderful staff, welcoming atmosphere! Arrived close to closing time, but they still wanted us to stay and taste. Took home our favorite two of their offerings and will gladly stop by again anytime I’m in the area!

Stopped in to do some wine tasting. $ 5 gets you 5 samples of any wines you want to try out. Surprisingly, the wine was okay. Bought a couple of glasses not wine to take home. Nicely decorated inside and out. The lady was really nice and quite knowledgeable. A fun little stop right outside of Port Angeles on highway 101. Has some interesting products too. Lavender infused mustards, cheeses, and sparkling wine were all quite interesting to try but not anything I really would want to buy.

Wine being subjective; I will not attempt to review theirs, however… large tasting room with five pours for five dollars, lovely grounds to wander around on at will, and plenty of stock, swag and chotkies to purchase if interested. Glad I stopped in.

A wonderful little spot we randomly decided to swing by to buy our friends some wine from. The women who owned it and worked at it were so friendly and helpful. The whole place was impeccably clean and absolutely adorable. They had a great variety of wines and plenty for visitors to taste.

Such a great place! This was the first winery we saw on our pilgrimage from Seattle to Forks. They sell a «Twilight wine» which is a sparkling Shiraz with a Twilight label on it. Naturally we bought half a case without getting to sample it. Aside from that wine, the others are very reasonably priced and tasty. The staff there is very friendly and gave us recommendations for things to do in Port Angeles. If they have the lavender cheese from Golden Glen Creamery available BUYIT! It’s amazing with the wine tasting and crackers.

Such a great find. The wine is good and reasonably priced. For $ 5 you can taste 6 wines. Service is super friendly and depending on what wine you try they’ll bring out cheese and chocolate. Lots of fun gifts all around the place too. My personal recommendation is try the My Sweet Syrah with some of their chocolate sauce. I’m not normally one of those people who pick up on all of the«notes» in wines but with the chocolate sauce I could totally taste it in the wine and it was awesome! Totally worth the drive. Cant wait to go back!!!

Having driven out that way constantly, I had always meant to stop by. I finally did. It’s a pretty cool spot. A nice variety of wines that range in price, some of the blends down into the teens. Lots of kooky gifts — mostly feminine and wine themed — and some clothes, and other winery swag. Certainly worth a stop to look around and try the wine flight.

I’ve heard a lot of undeserved knocks against this place because it’s «big» but I found the service here to be just as friendly as at any small winery. I enjoy the working girl red, and the strong female flare. I only have 2 problems with this place. The first is that they have two tasting options-I don’t like having to make decisions about which wine to taste, and they were a little too busy to make strong suggestions. I still ended up tasting all the wines, although out of order… The second thing that sort of bothered me is that all of the wine was very good, but none of it jumped out at me. It was sort of like all the creativity and sass was put into the names and the marketing, but none of it made it into the product.

Located right off Highway 101, its easy to find — look for the huge barn. inside you’ll find a roomy tasting room with plenty of areas to sit and have a conversation. the staff were welcoming and handled the crowded bar with ease. pssstt fellas, im going to let you in a secret, you should come here if you want to meet some ladies. the winery is owned by three women and well known for its Working Girl everyday wines which are given empowering names such as «Go Girl Red» and«Rose the Riveter». they even have a «Handyman Red» for your favorite handy man(i picked up a bottle for the boyfriend, more for the novelty than the taste). Even the restrooms have positive affirmations hanging on each door. all of this adds up to being super approachable for females and they were digging it — the crowd was 90% women, not bad odds for the fellas. my taste-buds apparently like the good life cause they were drawn more to the La Dolce Vida wines. described as wines to celebrate special occasions but I would break it out during a nice dinner cause thats just how i roll. Overall, all the wines are reasonably priced and its a great jump-off point if you need to ease into the pool of wine tasting. also they take Discover card along with other forms of plastic. i luv me my cash-back bonus.
