My family and I wanted to go on a bike ride along the Olympic discovery trail in Port Angeles so we were able to do it on Saturday. Unfortunately, my bike wouldn’t fit on my bike rack so I ended up finding this place online and was able to rent a bike to ride for our family day out. Not only was the staff super friendly, fast, and knowledgeable the guy helping us also gave me suggestions to get my own bike on my bike rack for next time. Thier prices are reasonable and they will let you know where to go depending on your ability.

Very helpful and friendly when we rented bikes to bike on the Olympic Discovery Trail. Not only provided info on where to bike, but also where to have lunch. They only charged us for the time we had the bikes out, and they let us drop off bikes in their store while we had lunch– so that time was off the clock!

I had hardly ever been into this store when I started shopping for a bike. I knew pretty much what I wanted (from looking online) having never ridden a road bike. I wanted one that looked cool and would be fast. In both cases the store could have made more money off me, but instead they found out what I needed and directed me to one that not only fit better but would offer a smoother ride. I love my new bike! I also have loved the free clinics they’ve put on. Sound Bikes is a great asset to our community!

Poor customer service. I was having some problems finding a bike part the other day, so I went down to Sound Bikes and Kayaks. The guy behind the maintenance desk did not even come around to look at my bike and spent zero time trying to help me. It was obvious that he did not want to expend the effort to find the part or direct me on how to get it myself. It seemed as though would rather sit on a stool and do his own thing than aid the only customer in the store.

Great place! They have fixed our bikes several times, the offer cool classes, they have well-​priced gear. I highly recommend this store. The people are great as well, and I’ve always been treated really well here. Since the holidays are here, I’ll also mention that their items make great gifts (I could use a few new carabiners in my stocking!)

Everything from Mountain bikes to climbing gear. They always seem interested to expand their inventory based on what the customers would like to see. Not much in the way of apparel, they lean more toward hardware. If you need a new dry-​suit, carabiners, a kayak, a bike, or anything for getting around out here, this is a great place.
