Robby is extremely knowledgeable and has a great collection of art. We’ve bought numerous pieces over the past couple years and enjoy them in our homes.

I’m a sucker for an art gallery. An art gallery in Port A? Sure why not. My expectations were set on beach art, sand dunes, boats and waterfowl. I got all of that and more! Contemporary art in Port A. Yes!!! Sculptures, small pieces, large ones, jewelry. Let me express my feelings again– YES! The name sake artist of this gallery, Larry Felder, does ocean art in a classic and approachable way. Imagine standing back and almost seeing the waves crash off the boats. His new pieces are totally different. My jaw dropped when I heard it was his work. I won’t ruin the surprise by trying to describe them here. The curator, Robby, is awesome! He introduced us to who I at first thought was another customer. He turned out to be the artist of several sculpture pieces I was drooling over. I got to pick his brain about his process and inspiration. It was an honor to shake his hand! Other customers in the store turned out to be regulars and it was Cheers transformed in to a gallery. The people of Port A love them some art! Then I found the jewelry and it was all over. So yes I’m female. The force for blingy things is strong in me. Robby told me a bit about the artist and I instantly feel in love with a necklace that I’m gonna have to save my pennies for. I considered buying it for mi Madre buuuut, that puppy is going on my neck if it’s still there in a few months. The«6yo playing dress up in her mom’s jewelry box» in me was fully satisfied once I got to try on several rings, earrings and the aforementioned necklace. I’m happy to report that my new silver and black pearl drop earrings(that I was guaranteed look like lingerie) are content in their new home, my ears. It’s ok to wear this kind of lingerie out in public. Notes: Be ready to spend time here and learn about local artists. Regular events throughout the year. Next one Wed 12÷12÷12 featuring Larry Felder’s new work and Mary Hunter’s interpretation of 12÷12÷12.
