Enjoyed the crab stuffed tortellini food was much better then I expected. House band ROCKEDIT Sunday night. Drinks look dangerous lol I had the vodka punch, maybe one of the only drinks on the menu with only 1 kind of liquor It’s a little dark and some people are smoking at the bar. Had a good Sunday night date here :) Don’t be turned off by the dive bad appearances

This is an awesome dive bar. The prices for food and drinks are really good. The chorizo fries were amazing! The shrimp po boy was wonderful too! Will definitely come back.

Went again 4−29−16. Just as great as the first time. This kitchen rocks. The grilled drum is among the best pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. Grilled veggies were perfect, too. Highly recommend Giggity’s.

Shrimp Po-Boy was made with popcorn shrimp. Cuban sandwich was less than expected. Aransas Tea was $ 10.95 and not a good choice. Piña colada was an off the shelf mix. Not a good dinner. Service was good. Bar smelled smoky.

If you’re a patient person and can get past the slow service than you are in for a treat. The food is absolutely amazing. We went to watch the live music and have a couple of drinks. The bar is pretty divey and you can smoke inside but the cook has it going on. We had the cheese fries, ultimate blt, and pulled pork sandwich. All were to die for and would definitely order again.

This place is traditional bar hiding pretty good grub. The amberjack dip is really good, not too smokey, all delicious.

We tried to eat lunch here and didn’t even order food. WAY too much smoke indoors for dining. Very much a dive bar and not some place I’d want to eat. Indoor smoking and dining just aren’t a good mix… Maybe a good bar for a smoker, but as a restaurant/lunch place, look elsewhere…

Giggity! I actually used to come here back when it was Hooks and the patio was open so it was a bit of a shock when we showed up this year. They have a much improved menu with burgers that were very good and fries that were made in house. While I miss the old outdoor patio the new enclosed restaurant style wasn’t bad. Word to all of the tourists, the bartenders here are no nonsense so do not come in and think you are going to run amuck because you are on vacation. Otherwise if you are looking for a cold beer or cocktail, a decent jukebox, and an above average kitchen on the island pull up a chair and enjoy yourself.

Stopped by on a Monday night for a few drinks and there was an awesome little band playing some live music. Ended up stopping in and checking them out, crawled out the door at closing after hours of mingling with fun locals and tourists. Needless to say we will be back next time we are on the island.

Don’t be turned off by the dive bar exterior, I almost was. And then I saw two other folks who looked to be Unilocalers walking up here and they obnoxiously turned around and walked away after taking a look in… I never want to be that type of person so I said we are going in! Very glad we did, got here before the live music started so snagged a table to the side of the bar with a good view. Please note, that they allow smoking in here so this is not a family friendly establishment… but it is a bar so what do you expect. Our waitress Sheila was bubbly and friendly and hustling it, she was power walking around that bar checking on everyone like there was no tomorrow. We got the drinks where you can only order two at a time, I got the margarita which was smooth and delicious and I could not even taste the alcohol and honey got the spiked tea or something like that. But we got our two and I had to finish his since was driving and I was feeling good! We just got a few appetizers and were blown away since we had low expectations coming in. The cajun peel and eat shrimp were fresh and not too spicy. The chorizo fries were nom nom nomlicious, the fried drum was WOWZA(I have never had drum before and it is a very mild flavored fish but wonderful). We did ask for steamed artichokes and got fried insted, but again Sheila was so nice that we weren’t going to say anything and it was really good and the prices for it all were very reasonable. They had a bar menu and a fancy item menu, the crab tortellini looked really good but those entrees were $ 20+, still worth it I think for good seafood but we weren’t in the mood for anything fancy. All in all, we had a great time and the music was good and when we come down here again, we would definitely return. We drove in on our golf cart and took a joy ride out of there after to look at the big boats docked in the private piers and wish that we were rich.

Drinks were good. Just a hair pricey, but not so much that it would turn you away. Food was DELICIOUS. Definitely one of those bars that surprises you. Live music. Parking can be a little challenging on a busy night. Price comparison: 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 bottle cider, 2 mixed drinks = $ 79(tip not included). Overall great experience.

Okay so we were probably the first people there at noon. The drink specials were pretty great! $ 3.50 well drinks that are pretty STRONG. The food was average. I think what I like most is people watching the«regulars». They are interesting characters!!!

This is the best kept secret on the island. Looks like a great live music bar inside… and it is. But the best part is a gourmet menu and a kitchen full of first class cooks. I don’t know which item I’ve had might be my favorite, the flounder, the chorizo fries, the boiled shrimp(totally unique recipe) or the fried shrimp. Everything was excellent and great service. I’m coming back.

We wondered into here on a random afternoon after another bar turned out to be terrible. It was pretty empty so the vibe wasn’t great. However, by the looks of it I bet it can be pretty packed and fun at night. Its definitely a dive bar, but I like that about it. I got a few beers and my husband had a couple of mixed drinks. The mixed drinks are strong and delicious. Prices are reasonable and service is fast. We had the chorizo cheese fries and they really hit the spot. They were very full or flavor. The queso blanco and chorizo go perfectly together with great crispy fries and somehow the combination is not a greasy mess. Next time we are in port aransas will definitely be back and especially to check on the evening seen.

Look no further if you want great live music, fresh peel and eat shrimp or a burger. There’s more on the menu but this is all we tried. My shrimp was so fresh it almost grabbed my butt! The drinks are VERY generous! The Margarita our young sweet friend attempted to drink had to be shared. I loved the older guy band playing while we had dinner. Well, I’m an older gal. So there. It’s as close to a great dive bar as you can get with a dash of cleanliness thrown in for the health department inspections.

Keywords: Dive Bar, Smoking Allowed, Chorizo Fries. Giggity’s is full of contradictions which made for a great experience in a dive bar in Port Aransas by the docks. Walked in to the smoky lounge and I’ll admit, I was fully prepared to munch on some semi-edible freezer food to accompany my Red Bull vodka. After we were seated and handed the menus it took awhile for me to wrap my head around it. They have two menus, one fancy as f*ck and one more casual. On the FAF menu, they had lobster, mahi mahi, pastas etc. The casual menu was more my speed with burgers, fried seafood and other greasy goodies. Which leads me to one of the best things I had while on the island. Chorizo Fries. Why had I never thought about adding chorizo on my fries before? I order Chorizo & Papa tacos all the time? Anyway, the fries were perfectly crispy, chorizo wasn’t too greasy and the queso blanco held everything together in a gloopy stoner mess. I was in love. Service here(like almost anywhere in Port A) was friendly and prompt. I’d recommend getting here early-ish if you plan on eating. Although you can eat at the bar or in the bar area, if you get a table that is literally on the dance floor, I’d imagine you’d have butts in your face the entire time.

Had a great time here. The Spurs vs Heat finals were on the big TV and there was some live music right after the game. Loved that part. Had a Blue Hawaiian or 4 from the bar, man those are tasty! Started off with the firecracker drum sticks and I really appreciated that these were hand made and not frozen crap. They were great. I ordered the Black Drum & Giant Shrimp with grilled veggies. It was well prepared and I wish I had ordered a larger portion of just the Black Drum because it was the star of the plate. Good service and friendly people filled the bar… we’ll come back when we’re in town!
