Ate at this place cause it’s part of the hotel. Don’t order the fried seafood. Biggest mistake ever. Disgusting would be a compliment. Fries were under cooked. Fried oysters tasted like they were rotten and in chip like form. Plan on waiting a long time to get a waitress to take your order or flag them down for a refill. Ordered a second entrée and got the steak tacos which were pretty good. The crawfish look and smell pretty good. Realistically this is a bar with live entertainment and some tasting plates. Nice atmosphere lots of tables and they had a pretty good country band. On a side note smoking is allowed in this place.

Can’t believe a business will employ staff that are rude and berate others. It shouldn’t matter race, religion, sex or age, if you have a paying customer, they deserve respect. There are too many other businesses that deserve people’s hard earned money than to have to deal with this.

I have been a true customer of this business for 2 years. I have been totally respectable to the staff and all customers and tonight I told the bartender that the drink that I ALWAYS order didn’t taste the same. Instead of her remaking the drink she just poured more liquor in it and I was watching her. So I politely went to her and said«when a valued customer that drinks the same thing all the time says there’s a problem with their drink I think it would have been better to redo the drink not just add more stuff to it». She then told me FUCKYOUBITCH.. I said«you won’t be working here for long», she said«bitch I’ve been here 8 years». So I said«and your proud to say that you’ve been pouring drinks for 8 years«, and started laughing. She told me fuck you again then she called the security guy that came over to me and called me A BLACKGHETTOBITCH. I have never had nothing like this ever happen to me. I can’t believe that a business that I’ve supported for 2 years treated me like this. He called me a NIGGER and told me go back to the ghetto where I belong. I’ve never lived in a ghetto in the 45 years I’ve been on this earth. I suggest that black ppl stay away from here. They don’t respect us and don’t appreciate or business.

5 bartenders and it takes 10 minutes to get a friggin beer… this place sucks but the choices are so limited in this town that I still go back! Smh.

The place has downgraded since the original Good Times establishment was opened. The restroom is a disaster. The karaōke is no longer fun. The new set up was not very well planned. But the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Prices are beyond reasonable and the crawfish is done of the best in the area.

Something must be wrong with the well drinks at Good Times. I don’t get sick when I only drink beer there. I’ve been going to Good Times for 3 yrs now, it’s great fun, great music, live shows are great, karaōke is off the chain. But I stop drinking your well drinks. I only order beer now. Was just there last night, 9÷13÷2013. I drank at home and my friend got 2 shots of Jose and now she’s sick as a dog. Now she’s only gonna drink beer there. And my other friend had cranberry juice, she said it tasted like water.

Between the crap service that you get from a bartender with an attitude and the ‘attractive’ 40 is the new 20 voluptuous women with an insane amount of exposed tattoos, I am at a loss of how I even came about to giving this place 1 star. Apparently it is labeled as the place to be if you’re looking for a hook up and I can see that that’s true… if you’re hooking up with a tattooed whale! The indoor smoking coupled with some of the sketchy characters are enough to keep me away. Someone else’s scene that’s for sure.

Good mixed crowd. Some young, few older groups(40 – 50 or so). The beer was a little pricey at $ 3.50 a bottle for domestic. The waitresses were attentive and stopped by often. Don’t be shy about singing because no one else is! There are quite a few guys who work contract work at the nearby refineries. They were all nice but single ladies be prepared to be hit on.

Saturday nite after a wedding Nov ’13. If liquoring up, shooting pool, chain smoking, wiggling your butt off & twerking(notice I didn’t say dance) on tiny dance floor or where ever to happen to want to stand or weave around and have a bunch of guys cat call you & karaōke… this is your place, evidently they haven’t heard about ventilation here –burned my eyes badly–(suggest the following survival gear/tactics if you go: eye drops, waterproof mascara for the ladies, stay near the doors because you can’t tell if the place is on fire or if there is a billowing cloud of cigarette smoke moving around) suffocating… seating not the most comfortable and you have to pay $ 100.00 for comfortable seating(no joke), loud, drinks were OK — nothing special but not a rip off, servers good, ladies room clean but very primitive. No one seemed to care about whether the singer was good or not. Everyone was nice but not my kind of hangout. Far as I can see this is the only place to dance in this town, sad.

Here is the one Con: they allow smoking indoors and you will walk out smelling like you’ve been chain smoking. Pros: We only stopped in for a few beers after we arrived in town. A large space with a huge bar, cheap beer, a few pool tables, stage for a band, lots of seating, large dance floor, and a DJ stand. This is the place to be on a Saturday night.

It had been a long time since I got to experience my youth of reeking of cigarettes and old beer when exiting a bar. I guess things don’t change much in the Golden Triangle and Good Times is proof of that! They seemed to have some regulars there that were hootin’ and hollerin’ back and forth so things were pretty friendly. They were doing karaōke and you did not even have to be falling-on-your-face-drunk to get up and sing poorly. We needed to get away from the family so we were thankful this place was still there after all of these years. Nice to visit to be reminded of how funky you smelled after a night in a bar and why all places should ban smoking.
