Average to below average at best. Opening day and some of their item were not available. Tables were not set up for sit down eating. They got my order wrong. I was 1 of 6 customers there! No sodas and only a handful of bottle water in the 3 coolers. The staff spent more time wondering what to do rather than what they are suppose to do. No silverware give with my order and no napkins. I got fries instead of rice. They changed out but instead of a new to go box they tossed rice into the old box leaving many fries there all greasy and gross. The chicken egg roll was ok but cold while the jumbo shrimp was better but piping hot! Rice was ok. The left over fries which I didn’t want were soggy and unappealing and old looking.

Love the salt and pepper shrimp. No frills restaurant with quality food. Wings are also very different but tasty.

When you want hot, fresh fried seafood or wings. The restaurants interior is very much no-frills, and seating is limited. But most people, like myself, get their food to go so it’s not an issue. They do not have paper to go menus, so I suggest on your first visit get your camera phone out and take pictures of the menus on the wall for future ordering. We have many small, Asian owned seafood restaurants like this in the Port Arthur/mid county area. I like this one because it’s consistently good, and unlike most of the other seafood restaurants it is open on Sunday. One negative — if you order the 12 piece wing to go, for some strange reason they put it in an open, overflowing Chinese to go type box? I don’t like that because it lets the food get cold before you can get home and also it can fall out of the box. So if you order the 12 piece wing you may want to ask the person on the phone to put it in closed containers.

After reading reviews, I finally went to try the new JnJ and was very disappointed. I had some friends that had tried them and alot of mixed reviews some good some bad. I will have to agree with the bad review on this visit. I ordered the salt n pepper chicken and it wasn’t good to me. I had way better snp chicken. The chicken was fried just right, but it wasn’t seasoned much. So basically I just tasted bland fried chicken. I also ordered 6 fried oysters and I will most def will NEVER order it again! It was so tiny that I would rather have McDonald’s 6 pc chicken nuggets.(The pictures will explain how pathetic the food look/taste). My cousin ordered fried coconut shrimps which came out burnt. I don’t think it was fresh shrimp. Looked like something that came out of the frozen seafood section at a grocery store. We paid over $ 20+ and the presentation of the food doesn’t look good either. I seriously should have went to popeye’s or raising canes instead. Overall, I will NOT be returning to JnJ. Only good review was clean restaurant and the green onions was better than the food and thats the honest truth.

New kid on the block that was remodeled into a combo chinese blend chicken wing restaurant. The place as of February 2015 just barely opened and you will find the parking lot pretty much filled as most new businesses have. Access is easy if you are driving kind of in the Southern direction of Twin City Highway, it is on the right(West side?) and on a corner. Great location.

Surprisingly really good Salt & Pepper Shrimp… with just a bit of salt and a lot of good flavored red pepper and really BIG sized shrimp. The shrimp breading was a little«loose» and not over crispy and I like it. Think of a comparison to KFC’s «original» or «crispy»… these were«original.» In the end the shrimp was battered, seasoned, and cooked correctly. There are a few places in town that have some great simple and fast menu items like this, but they had better be placed on «notice» because the new kid«J&J» has given them some great competition. The staff was really friendly and they did their best to process orders in an efficient and timely manner. I placed my order by phone and it was ready in 15 minutes just like they stated. Punctual and on time. They also noted that they stop taking orders 30MINUTESPRIORTOCLOSING. So do not wait long if you want to order, call them and get your order in. Overall, this location has had many businesses, but I think that J&J will be here a while. They have good food and a fast process to serve you what you want. I look forward to coming back here for lunch or a late night dinner treat.
