Went back to this place on Tamiani Trl. , today. My rice balls were bland and fell short of expectations. I got some wings, and was very happy with them. My wife and I ordered a large pie, with peps and mushrooms. @2.50 each for them. A half a pepper and probably ¾ sliced mushrooms. $ 5.00 was a bit much. The pie had a nice crispiness to it. Well cooked, but the cheese could have been of better quality. I mean $ 20.00 for a pie, better have more fresh sauce and better quality cheese. I brought home 3 slices, and when the pie cooled down, the cheese was horrible, and no sauce to be found. I think now that the snow birds are gone, they are trying to maximize there profits, at our expense. My last trip to this place. They can rip someone else off. Two stars for good wings. Save your $$$$ !!!

Customer service is terrible Port Charlotte location. Treated terrible by manager/owner. I ordered garlic knots – okay. Pizza with sausage personal –okay. For kids I ordered the lunch special —personal cheese pizza/soda/salad for $ 6. My kids don’t eat salad and did not want soda. Waitress told me not to get special personal cheese would be cheaper. I was charged $ 7 per small cheese pizza with water nothing else. When I questioned it I was treated like I was stupid or trying to pull something and told I did not order the $ 6 special. I tried to explain I did order it but was told the pizza without the sides was cheaper and was TOLD by the waitress to order it this way. They did take $ 2 off by bill. The kids asked for to go sodas since all other kids in the restaurant had them with the special. The manager told me it was not a to go special so no basically just pay and leave. My 7 and 10 year old understood this was wrong. So I did not get the special paid more did not get sodas or salad and paid more. They then told me the special was new and some of the staff really did not understand it. Seemed like a scam like they were trying to talk people out of it.

For an app my wife and I had the cheesy rice balls. They were not as good as I thought they would be — kind of bleh. Could have used more sausage in them. The pizza we ordered had sausage, meatballs and pepperoni. The sausage was decent. The meatballs were awesome. I don’t know what they used for their pepperoni. Truly tasted more like fried bologna. It looked like it as well since they looked cupped. The pizza was salty. But, the crust was outstanding. I wish they had better toppings.

The pizza is different but very good. I have yet to try the wings but for sure would like to try soon. The crust has a very nice taste and texture. Over all very nice.

What a bunch of crap. I ordered two cheese pies at 4:55PM on full moon night. I was told 35 minutes. I show up at 5:30PM and they didn’t have my ticket even though the person on the telephone even called me by name since my number is in their system. Then they try to tell me I must have called the Port Charlotte location. So I showed her my cell phone and she admitted I had called North Port. So I ask how long to fix the problem. 55 minutes she says. So I left since no pizza in the world is worth two hours of my time. Just for fun I called the Port Charlotte location and they did not have the order. Either the help is incompetent or the promotion is a bunch of crap. Take your pick. I’ll never eat here, Donatos or at Prime again.

Hands down was always my best Pizza place in Port Charlotte. Always went out of my way to go here. Tonight it was absolutely awful — Just a large Mushroom pizza — I ended up taking home what felt like 20 lbs of cheese and 10 mushroom pieces. Just an awful job. The folks that work there are so nice but the kitchen QC is gone. I guess it has become a successful routine. I am from NY and have to find another NY Pizza place — sadly this one is no longer it.

Not really a lot to rave or complain about — pretty good pizza in an area of the country where that isn’t all that easy to find. We got the margherita and Italian pies, along with some wings, and everything was good. Very nice staff as well. I don’t give extra credit for being good relative to your location, but it always is nice to find decent food in Port Charlotte. I’d recommend if you’re in the area.

Absolutely the best pizza we have had since leaving NY. We had spaghetti and meatballs as well. The meatballs were fantastic, but the sauce was much too pasty and acidic. We will definitely be back.

I have to say this is hands down THEBESTPIZZA in Port Charlotte. If each dough is not handmade, you could have fooled me. The coal-fired oven makes all the difference — don’t think there are many of them around here. I had a veggie pizza with spinach, onions, and sun-dried tomatoes on my last visit, and it was amazing. Yeah, crust was a little thick(i.e., wide, compared to the sauce/cheese/topping area of the pizza), and the spinach topping could have been a bit more generous. But the pizza is SO good compared to anything else around, you pick your battles. Several lacto-vegetarian pizza options, and I’ll bet they’d do a dairy-free pizza for vegans, if asked. Greek salad was decent. Sodas were acceptable. My mom says she does NOT like their iced tea, but that’s a personal preference. I will take Bocca Lupo’s pizza any day! Garlic knots are amazing, too, even though I don’t generally go for that kind of thing. Far better food than their sister restaurant Donato’s. Service has been better on some occasions than others, but overall, I have not had a bad experience here. TRYIT!

Best pizza we’ve had since moving here, they use the real pepperoni on the pizza — the kind that curls up when it bakes, very few places do. Really good pizza is hard to find, we’ve tried several. We would definitely bring visitors here. The large tables are built around barrels which is kinda neat.

Very tasty pizza and finger lickin’ garlic knots. The décor ain’t nothing to write home about, but the staff is a friendly bunch.

Lovely service, good quality crust, excellent cheese and a light and airy family atmosphere. Reasonable prices. And we were hungry but not beyond discerning. The pizza was hand tossed out front where you can watch. My son wants to give them six stars.

Been here a few times with my husband and my ladies lunch group. It’s good for casual get together or night out. Hake never thought much of the service but always let It slide. Just found out my friend tried to set up her daughters birthday here and wanted to secure seating for 15 young adults. Seems like a reasonable thing to do – not to overwhelm the restaurant and not to have 15 guests waiting around. Well apparently the owner did not see it the same way-WILL NOT take reservations period. If you don’t like it go elsewhere – owner actually accused her of vulgar language from a previous call which if you knew her is hoot! A better business would be more accommodating to its patrons. Recommendation: Spend your money where it’s appreciated DONOTEATHERE.

Tonight we tried the Donatos Calamari with Gorgonzola and hot peppers, delicious but portion was very small, the pizza was great? Our waitress was a sweety, great food, great service. We had a nice evening. But we always do when we are together. Why 4 stars? Because not only the edge of the pizza was empty, but almost to the middle. If I am going to put carbs in my body, it better be with something good on top, and each slice I left almost a half from the edge, what a waste, some had some tomato sauce not even cheese. There was also hardly any sausage on it, more mushrooms. I didn’t complain because this was the first time this ever happened. I guess I was stunned or I simply enjoyed the company more lol. Not sure what the reason was. This IS still the best pizza in the near by area, so we will go back, because I don’t think this will happen again. Must have been the blue moon, lol Once in a blue moon ;)

This is about the north port bocca. When they opened I would have given them probably 5 stars. But the food and attitude has gone down since then. We usually call our pizza in. The last few times our crust has been eithet burnt or not done enough. We got onions on our pizza that were at least an inch wide and as long and totally raw. The garlic rolls tasted and looked like they were a day old. Went up to window to get pizza and saw one sitting on the rack. Asked if it was mine … was told by window person no… and she walked off to chat with coworkers… when she came back it turns out it was our pizza… kids need to be retrained… last person who took my order was totally rude… what’s going on there these days??? I have names but won’t mention them… they get one more try and then I go back to port charlotte. … I’m hoping to update this review next time.

Haven’t been back for some time. The pizza was much better than we remembered it. It was truly like a hand tossed New York style pizza with a nice thin chewy crust and ample stringy tasty mozzarella cheese. The pepperoni was very greasy and a bit more salty than I like. If I had just ordered a cheese pie id have given it 5 stars. We had the calamari appetizer and it was tender, tasty and perfectly fried. We won’t hesitate to return.
