The company I work for is a large national airline and I am routinely unable to access our employee websites for two days per week using CenturyLink for crucial items that include: Scheduling, Monthly Bidding Sessions, Benefits, Payroll.etc. Upon discovering these issues I contacted our IP department and they informed me that our company uses«Dynamic IP» addresses which CenturyLink’s DNS is the ONLY provider unable to convert these addresses in a timely fashion. This affects not only our employees locally, but nationwide and our IT dept. has routinely reached out to CenturyLink for a resolution, but to no avail. I was unaware of this issue upon signing a year contract with CenturyLink as there is nothing indicating that this issue may occur. I find this deceptive and I pay $ 63.94 monthly for a service I cannot use weekly and literally have to use my neighbors Comcast, or drive to the airport to use our employee computer’s to gain access to critical information. This is an extreme inconvenience for which I am paying monthly. I’ve contacted them on numerous occasions and they are unwilling to release me from my contract unless I pay the remainder of my contract, or at least refund the days I am unable to gain access to my employer’s websites. I find this deceptive in advertising and unfair to the consumer. PGD don’t do it!

Starting off with this service but have reservations. Not real comfortable with providing a SSN so they can run a credit check even though we’re going with auto pay. Pause fee and reactivation fee high as well. Pause fee is $ 10 plus $ 10-$ 11 in taxes. Then there’s a $ 10 reactivation fee. No written service or customer satisfaction policy either per Jason. We can cancel for any«technical» reason whatsoever without penalty. I If we want this rate in 12 months we’ll need to renew 30 prior to expiration.

My family has had Sprint/Embarq/CenturyLink for phone and internet since 2005. You really can’t beat the reliability of the phone service. The internet service is also very reliable and fast(except the upload speeds, but the upload speeds are at least tolerable). We had Prism TV service, and is was good, but we switched to DISH because it’s cheaper and it has TheBlaze TV. The customer service is also relatively decent; the call centers are U.S. based, and I usually haven’t had problems with them(there was a clusterf**k on moving the services one time back in 2011, — 1 star). They seem to have internet service in most of Charlotte County, unlike Verizon whom has spotty coverage in North Port. Overall, I’m happy with them, and would recommend them to anybody looking for communications services in Charlotte County.
