Not really on Kings Hwy but hidden way off road behind a Cracker Barrel. The check in staff was rude and seemed uninterested if we stayed there or not. The breakfast was weak with cold hard boliled eggs, a loaf of bread and weak coffee. On the bright side it is right next to the Cracker Barrel and easy drive to many beaches. The room was very clean but you can hear the people in next rooms. If this was anywhere but Florida this would be a $ 65 a night hotel.

I didn’t mean to stay at this hotel for two nights, but I did after La Quinta gave reservation away(despite being with a large 100+ room group that had been secured with a credit card and book three weeks in advance. This hotel not only had a king size bed on the first floor, but it was cheaper and just as nice as what I saw at La Quinta. I’m typically a germaphobe in a hotel(I’ve seen the consumer reports) however, this room was super clean, especially the bathroom. The bed was a little hard for my likely but clean, and the sheets were not worn out like the last place I stayed. They serve a nice little eggs, sausage, and waffle breakfast, with all the continental flare too. We will be returning to Port Charlotte again soon and this will be our hotel of choice. La Quinta got my last notice.

Ehhhhh. The first day I stayed there, there was a few mysterious hairs on one of the towels. I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt and didn’t encounter that problem on any other towels. Aside from that, it was pretty clean, soo maybe those random hairs were an exception. The other beef I had with this place was that the wireless connection worked briefly and then just stopped working. I told the front desk and they gave me an ethernet cord to use. At one point with the ethernet, the internet still cut out. Oh yeah and on separate occasions, there was no conditioner or lotion in my bathroom, so I had to ask the front desk for some. Inconvenient. The breakfast was also very basic, but that was to be expected.
