I’ve been looking for years for a place that I can get yellow Lake Erie perch that I can cook at home and duplicate the taste of the fried perch at the Flatiron Café in Cleveland. I found it with Port Clinton fish. Bought 5 pounds of frozen breaded perch and had it overnighted to me in Chicago. It is the best I ever tasted. I was concerned that the breading would be so spiced up that it would kill the taste of the fish but Jackie at Port Clinton Fish assured me that it was a very neutral breading and she was right. Good size filets too. Pricing is good. The only suggestion I’d have is the packaging. I had to pry the frozen filets apart with a screwdriver. Laying the filets flat in layers separated by paper would be a better way to go even if there is a small additional packaging charge. I travel to Cleveland several times a year and this place will definitely be on my «stop by» list on the way home.

Great very fresh lake perch. Got turned on to this place over 10 years ago, coming back from puttin bay. Make at least 1 road trip here a year. Freeze it up and still cooks up like it is fresh. The credit card is sometimes not accepted, so bring your $$$, just in case
