I wandered into this shop looking for someone to help me finish a project that had been hibernating for 15 years. What I found was a community of knowledgeable, supportive fiber artists practicing their craft amid beautifully hand dyed yarns. The shop is is a sensory treat, the people inviting, the textures tantalizing. I have become addicted the The Ewe and so will you!

This is my FAVORITE yarn shop ever. Yarns are hand-dyed by the owner, and are all works of art, as is the shop itself. The beauty is inspiring. And the owner, Heidi, is one of the most generous souls to grace the planet. I have watched her give away her own patterns, and needles, and yarn. She is gracious enough to teach anyone who wants to learn, and she does it without charge. This place is well worth the drive/ferry/whatever-it-takes to get there.

I walked into the shop and said hi to the shop keeper. I was ignored. She was talking to someone else at the time, so I looked around. After talking to the other customer(there were only two of us) she went in the back and sat down completely ignoring my presence. There was a lot of fiber in the store and nice yarns, but I decided to shop elsewhere.
This store is «yarn heaven» The most beautiful yarns you have ever seen or felt! the owner Heidi, does all of the dyeing herself. heidi is very nice, knowledgeable and very willing to help or advise. the shop also has lots of fibers for spinning too. her quality is the best and prices are very reasonable. Feel free to bring what your working on. Heidi has a corner of her shop devoted to knitting, spinning or chatter. This is especially wonderful in the winter with the wood stove going. when you stop in, be sure to say hello to «grace» she is Heidi’s loyal whippet. Some folks just stop by to see grace! This is by far«My favorite Yarn Store!»

I am so shocked to see this hasn’t been reviewed yet. This is the most lush, gorgeous fiber geek store ever. The owner is so nice, friendly and knowledgeable and clearly passionate about all things fiber. The shop focuses on locally spun and dyed yarn(she does the dyeing herself), fibers for spinning and spinning supplies and weaving supplies. Prices are very reasonable and everything is super high quality. This is probably my favorite yarn store ever.
