The King’s Inn

The seafood tonight was not even in the ballpark of fresh. The pasta was lacking taste as well. I’ve heard great things and others at the table said it was the worst by far from this establishment.

Outstanding! Warm, welcoming and relaxed. Food was served hot and promptly. Price was more than reasonable. Other reviews mention «hidden gem «. By that they mean location. Took several attempts to zero in on the Inn. Thank God for GPS. Will return for sure

The King’s Inn is definitely a hidden gem. We made reservations as usual and were told they were very busy and 7:00pm was the earliest but they would fit us in (a party of three). When we got there, it was a little hard to park because of the crowd. We were a little early and sat in front of the fireplace while we waited to be seated. Just as promised, we were shown to the table promptly at 7:00pm.
Our waiter (definitely ask for Lucas) was absolutely wonderful. He was on the ball the whole time. We filled out our salad cards and we ordered from the prix fixe menu (with our coupon for a discount). My French onion soup was a delicious start and the two others split the mozzarella sticks and 3 large shrimp appetizers (also great). I ordered the house cut prime-​rib (10 oz.) and they both had the haddock. It came with broccoli as the house vegetable and I had the twice baked potato, they both had baked potatoes. Our salads came, just as we had ordered. Fresh and delicious. We had plenty of time to enjoy the appetizers and salad before our dinners came. We were not rushed at all. Lucas was right there when we needed him and we were given just as much attention as anyone else even though it was crowded. The dinners were excellent and a great value for the money. The prime rib was cooked as ordered and I only heard compliments about the fish. Our dinners included dessert and I was not overly full as to not enjoy. We had cheesecake and red velvet cake. Overall, we had a great, great time and would highly recommend this restaurant (B&B) to anyone. But keep it your personal secret. It is a little hidden but well worth the find.
