Alright store for a .99 cent spot. Prepare to wait as there’s never enough cashiers. usually three. Lines are always down the isles. Other than that it’s typical.

Lemons and limes are a great deal if it’s worth walking down aisle that smells like urine-yech! It shouldn’t matter that it’s a discount store for Christ sake clean it up! Customer service is for poop. Cranky and unfriendly cashiers, be happy you have a job!

This isn’t a bad store if you already know what you want going in. I usually drop in for candy or cheap prizes for my basketball team. Everything else is repackaged to the value of 99 cents, thus no real savings, or very low quality, thus you end up paying more for what you needed(the cost of the cheapy you bought and eventually threw away plus the cost of the one you should have bought in the first place.) Don’t get me wrong, occasionally you’ll find some hidden gems like the Sambazon acai smoothie packs I found once… Or the mix to a smoothie I use to pay $ 4 a cup for, that now made 12 servings for only 99 cents. Of course these instances are few and far between and I’ve since stopped trying to play Indiana Jones at this store. In the end, those hidden treasures aren’t worth the death traps you have to pass to reach them. Again, if you already know they have what you’re looking for, by all means stop. If not, head down Channel Islands about a mile and check out Big Lots or Dollar Tree instead.

First off the store was completely trashed! It looked as if no one had straightened up the aisles in months! So fast forward… I’m waiting in line and noticed the cashier being very friendly with the customers(side note: In a customer service field this is a must) well it was my turn to check out and her entire demeanor changed. Not only did she not greet me she rolled her eyes and began speaking to the customer behind me in Spanish(which is completely rude) I’ll never go back to this store again(I’m glad it was a last minute run)

99 cent store is always a hit or miss with anything. I recently even found Frozen theme party supplies for my daughters birthday. They now have a variety of food and when you’re lucky you can even score on some name brand stuff. I swear by this store! This is always my 1st stop and whatever I don’t find here I go elsewhere. Yes, it does have it’s downfalls. Like the cleansiness and sometimes get the occasional rude worker. But some are really nice once u start talking to them!

Horible customer service, i went to the cashier to check out the lady made me wrap up my own items. She made me do HER job I decided to give it another chance the lady that helped me out was way nicer she did her job unlike her co workwr.

The premise of the 99 is to make money– first and foremost. OK. But it does help alot of folk unable to survive in regular markets. They have expanded there stock to items beyond 99. Care must be given to what it is you want, need or crave on account that will make a difference on your willingness to dish out your hard earned cash. All in all, you do benefit.

I love 99 Cents only stores. I live about a block from this store and it is a little more disorganized than others. The frozen food is much more abundant at the store in Ventura on Main St.

I have to agree with fellow Unilocaler Matthew H. that this 99 Cent Only store is a lot more disorganized and dirty looking because of all the disheveled displays of nameless crap. However, everything is just«dirt cheap» and doesn’t stop me from getting my shop on ;D Seems to me this store actually has a little more variety compared to the one in Oxnard :)
