This place has such great stuff and the one employee names Shelby is absolutely wonderful. I am surprised that this place isn’t always filled with costumers. Take your kids here for a shopping trip :)

I have not been to a general store since elementary school for a field trip. They are non-​existent in larger towns for obvious reasons. The Lexington General Store (along with Weekends next door) is a must visit. It is filled with Port Huron paraphernalia, old-​time treats, collectibles and more. It’s fun browsing around, as many of the items would be great gifts. I purchased a few postcards and candy, but the overall experience was pleasant. It’s conveniently located in downtown Port Huron near restaurants and attractions, so stop by during your stroll.

I love the Lexington General Store in Lexington and was anxious to visit their new store in downtown Port Huron. I was not disappointed! Similar inventory, nice gift and specialty items, kitchen items, and well, an old-​time general store. Great vibe, homey store. Even the kids liked it (’cause they have plenty of candy — included the best chocolate covered cashews I remember having).
Easy to get to while headed to the boat dock — be sure to stop in!
