A bit more of a retail shop, but one that serves… a nice, small seating area outside for nice weather. It’s a bit odd walking in and checking out all the tea, not really the best to order a cup, but you can. You wouldn’t know it because they don’t tell you but yes this fartsy lil tea shop will pour hot water and steep your tea of choice– Some are better than others so it’s tough to decide. Especially since you’re worrying about the price to your wallet.

I’m updating my review and adding the fifth star, because I have not come across a tea shop I love as much as this one. It’s a really basic shop, dedicated to the tea buyer, and that’s what I really appreciate about it. I get to try various teas when I was there, smell all of them thanks to the little smelling jars, and haven’t found a milky oolong I like more than their Guangzhou milk oolong. This makes me so homesick! Luckily though, they have a website so I can order it Online.

Quaint little tea shop in the heart of Port Jefferson. They have a wide array of teas and the salesman are more than happy to offer suggestions based on your taste palate. Adele, one of the salesman, is easy to talk to and is well versed with all of the teas in stock. She had wrapped my teas in a nice bag filled with green tissue paper and ribbons since I had bought them as a gift. All of the teas can be served iced/warm with sweetner and milk added in for no extra charge. A cup to-go(of any kind of tea) costs $ 2.50. An ounce of loose leaf tea averages $ 5 and makes 10 – 13 cups. You’re also welcome to smell any of the teas they have in stock. For those of you who are into fruity teas, I highly recommend the Carmen Miranda Pina Colada! For those of you who have a sweet tooth, the Winter White Marzipan with milk and two pumps of sweetner is delish! You might be lucky enough to get a taste of their tea-infused baked goods which sell for $ 1 each. Ocassionally they have samples, so don’t be afraid to ask! *Cash only for orders less than $ 10

Lovely little place with a big selection of teas. The staff are friendly and helpful. All you need to do is walk in smell the teas and ask for a cup either iced or hot. The staff were more than happy to chat when our tea was brewing. They have a small patio seating area that will only seat a couple people, but there’s normally not that many people around anyways. Even if you don’t get seated the shopping village its in is really nice just to wander around in. Overall, go to this tea shop if you want a nice, relaxing cup of tea.

Enjoyable little Port Jefferson shop to come and purchase teas. They have a wide selection of teas from all over the world for fairly decent prices. On weekends, they even serve refreshing boba teas that, if you’re lucky, can enjoy on our small outdoor patio. The staff that works there are always friendly and helpful.

If you’re into teas and tea accessories, then you must visit You, Me and Tea during your next visit to Port Jefferson. The place is charming, and the staff(I’ve mainly dealt with the owners) knows their stuff. They sell many different loose teas, and some beautiful tea pots as well. I had stumbled upon this place in the village one day while looking for a gift several years ago. They will package up your gifts nicely in a gift bag, tissue paper, ribbon… all of it! The presentation is great, and their recommendations are wonderful. I’ve purchased MANY gifts for people from this place over the years, and everyone is always impressed. I’ll continue to shop for gifts here, and in the meantime, some tea for me!

Tried an iced mango ceylon tea for $ 2.72. This is a quaint tea shop that has REAL tea. It is very simplistic which is great because some tea places overcomplicate their products w/fancy names, etc. Customer service was great. Generally the loose leaf tea is $ 5/oz.

The bubble tea is the best in this area, even if they only serve it on the weekends. I went a few weeks later to buy some hibiscus tea. Staff was very patient and friendly and the tea was delicious, inexpensive, and high quality. Try the Carmen Miranda hibiscus tea iced. Yum! I’m hooked.

So happy I walked in to this tiny tea place years ago. I love love love love their bubble tea. As many reviews have mentioned, it’s only available on weekends now. Still amazing – I wish they still had red bean but taro is just as good. The shop is small and I can’t speak to the quality of all their loose teas, but they smell great and everything is very neat and organized. The staff has always been friendly. Overall, I’d definitely recommend You, Me and Tea to friends.

There’s one in Huntington as well, if you don’t want to walk around Port. Also, I think the Huntington shop has bubble tea all week long, as opposed to just on the weekends. Not sure if I liked it though, I’m used to the pudding/slushie kind of bubble tea instead of it having giant chips of ice in it.

Cute cozy tea shop in Port Jeff selling high quality loose leaf teas. The worker was very friendly and patient with me when I asked about/sniffed just about every tea in their shop. I highly recommend their Gen Mai Cha ;) *Fyi: They only serve bubble tea on the weekends.

One of the very, VERY few places on long island to get bubble tea, and what’s more, it’s delicious. The problem is that 75% of the time we drive there and go in all excited, and they say they’re out of bubble tea. If it’s so popular and this happens so often, I don’t know why they don’t make more of it. And that’s when it’s open. The store doesn’t keep very extensive hours, so a lot of the time we’ll go at 5 on a weekend and the store will already be closed.

You me and Tea. It’s fun to say. Like the name, the shop is cute and fun. It’s a little cramped and more like a shoebox than a supermarket, but it works. The entire store is shamefully dedicated to my favorite addiction. Loose tea. Bury your nose in the glass cylinders offering sample«sniffs of the tea» and pick your poison. The staff here is also knowledgeable and excellent. No lackadaisical high school kids working summer jobs here — Just people who love tea as much as you do. Some of the BEST teas from You, Me and Tea: — Coconut Custard(It’s rooibos so it’s caffeine free) — Monk’s tea(Black and deliciouso) — Anything Jasmine(especially the pearls/dragon tears) ALSO: — They have an entire website to browse if you don’t want to head to the store.(PJ is pretty far from just about everything). — They’ll make you tea in shop so it’s perfect for a fall/spring day when you’re wandering around the village. — The tea is largely INEXPENSIVE! That’s right. This isn’t Teavana in the Roosevelt field mall where you are coerced to buy multiple teas and walk out spending spending $ 15 – 20 at a minimum. You can try many of the teas for less than $ 4 an oz. For specialty loose tea, you can’t beat the prices. — Good quality. Just don’t let the tea sit in the little clear plastic bag that it comes in for 5 months. It will lose it’s flavor. — They sell one time use disposable unbleached tea bags that I can’t find anywhere except amazon. They’re a little more pricey that what I usually but I’m not complaining, it’s a specialty shop. — The tea pots and tea accessories are fairly matron-like so you’re bound to find a decent gift for an older aunt/mom/grandmother who enjoys teaware. — Honey spoons and tea candy. ’nuff said. FYI: They have fairly accurate brewing tips on their website. My only discrepancy is that I’d use 1&½ tsp of tea for herbals per every 8oz of water.
