If you’re starving on the way from Kitsap to Port Townsend, give it a shot. Otherwise, it’s lackluster at best, and the service is slow and apathetic.

We stopped here on our way back from Port Angeles. It was a quaint little café. The fish and chips were really good and the tuna melt was good. The fries were different. They had some kind of seasoning or coating on them. I am not sure if i loved them or not, but they were good. It is a little out of the way from the hwy if you’re heading back to Seattle or vice versa. But it was an enjoyable stop.

We’ve only ever had breakfast here. The OMELETTES are delicious– served with amazing home fries and homemade bread… so good. If you’re in a hurry, go somewhere else during prime dining hours… one server, one cook. If you have time, sit down and enjoy a mushroom, bacon, jalapeño omelette with delicious bread.

***** EDIT*******NEWREVIEW***********BELOW****************** Okay, I went back with my mom and daughter last Friday(07−24−15) and needless to say we won’t be going back. We placed our order after finding out there weren’t any biscuits and gravy. Our food was blah. No flavor, I ordered one pancake, bacon and two poached eggs. The eggs were cold, the pancake was small and blah and the one piece of bacon .well at least had flavor. This isn’t the worst of it. as we were eating I noticed(we sat in the corner) that the window sills needed a good GOOD cleaning, there were little bug bodies laying all over them in the corner. We soon found out why, there were 3 spiders living in a little wooden boat propped up in the corner for decoration. We know this because they came out several times and moved around while we were having our breakfast! I started looking around and there were old cobwebs with dead bugs dangling around in them above us against the top windows. there is dust all over the window sills everywhere else. It wouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to clean it up. Yet it looks like it hasn’t been done in years. I tend to think that if they don’t clean where customers can SEE, then I can only start to imagine what the kitchen looks like — no thanks! We should have known, it was breakfast time(late 10:30ish) and there was only one other table occupied… not a good sign. I sure do hope that the owners do something about this .it used to be good, no longer.

I think it was the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever seen the table and everything on it was covered in a grease crumbs all over the table and in the chairs crackers all over the floors and I don’t think you could see out the window through the cobwebs and what used to be white curtains won’t be back

We love the fish tacos, the halibut fish and chips and the fries. So good. A great little dining place, especially sitting out on the deck. Prices are so reasonable, the service is great as are the waitstaff. We are fans of both Snug Harbor locations, but Ludlow is becoming our fave!

I’m giving this place 5 stars cause I was completely surprised at how good the food was! From the outside, it doesn’t look like much. Just an average sandwich shop. Stopped here for lunch while on a motorcycle ride. I sampled the potato salad before ordering and loved it. Had the chicken, avocado and bacon sandwich and really was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was delicious. I ordered iced tea just to avoid a soda, expecting the typical brown water you usually get at restaurants, but it actually tasted like real tea! My friend had a fish sandwich, which was fresh cod breaded at the restaurant. This is a great sandwich café. Can’t speak to the breakfast or dinners, but if I’m ever in the area at the right time, I’d try it again. I’m keeping this on my list of regular stops when I drive through.

First time there, it will be the last. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and it wasn’t cooked through and I ordered grilled salmon and that was raw in the middle so she offered to let me eat something else so I decided on the BLT and had to wait till my husband ate what he could off his plate. when he was done I finally got my food back again. The BLT wasn’t even that great! I gave them two stars because the lady was nice enough to comp us the whole meal! Only thing good was the glass of Cab I drank there

Real home cooked delicious meals. Even the bread is fresh baked. The fish tacos are excellent. I highly recommend the Snug Harbor Café in Port Ludlow.

What a lovely little place! The fries and sandwiches are amazing and they do have a little cooler of beer in the corner with some great micros stashed inside. I thought I would be lost in port Ludlow with nothing good to eat or drink and I happily(and with a full belly) stand corrected.

My wife and I took some friends here last weekend. This was our first time and we absolutely loved it. Everyone was really nice and it was the best burger and fries I have had in a really long time. The fries are unique and extremely delicious! Great place and I highly recommend it.

Good atmosphere and quaint– we sat out on the porch on a gorgeous day! I had the turkey cranberry sandwhich and coleslaw. Both were good, although I found the sandwich slightly dry and the coleslaw a bit over-mayonnaise-y. I also had a taste of the split pea and ham soup which was tastey, but slightly bland. With a touch of salt and pepper, I enjoyed it a lot. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwhich– very standard. The fries especially were good tho! They had this homemade tempura batter and just melted in your mouth. 4 stars for the fries and for the service! All together id say 3.

My parents live out in Port Ludlow and this is one of the local spots with solid diner-style food. Good for a greasy spoon breakfast or lunch, great toast. Love the ambiance and people. The place has been bug and fly-free when I’ve been there. Do be prepared for SLOW service if you come with a group(possibly even if you don’t). We waited over 45 minutes for our food today(a take out order for ten was placed just before we arrived). This isn’t uncommon, so go with folks you like talking to.

The only good restaurant in Port Ludlow! They have really good fish tacos and their fries are to die for. The other location in Discovery Bay is really good too but better atmosphere at the PL location. The servers are always really nice and its a great place to go for lunch!

Halibut fish and chips and burgers aren’t bad value, but service and environment are a little«divey». This place is better for take out — and only when you are looking for some junk food; burgers and deep fried everything.

Good… for the most part the other posting are correct about the food, BUT what was left out was the cleaniness of the place. Bugs flying everywhere and oh yes, my wife had a class full of ants in her diet coke… now the bad part, she didn’t notice it until after she drank all of her diet coke with a straw. Then she noticed black spots on the rim and as she looked in the glass at least 20 dead ants in the ice cubes. When we brought it to the waitors attention, wow, don’t know how that could have happened, here’s your check. Now, we are not the type to complain just to complain but come on… when she returned 8mins later, oh they are also VERY slow on service, I said could you at least take the coke off the bill, and with a smart axx comment, she replied I wasn’t going to charge you for that!!! really… bottomline, place had okay food, just dirty and I wonder what the health department gives them as a rating. Would we go back… I do not think so, would rather have a clean place with okay food, then good from from a dirty place.

Their unhealthy love of tempura can be your delight! Sick of driving? Stop in for some tempura french fries. I don’t even, but it’s pretty cool.

I paid $ 4.95 for a side salad that consisted of a small container of lettuce(NOTHINGELSE)-RIP OFF They didn’t give me a fork with my to go order, so I have no way to eat this«Side salad», they charged me more for my order than the prices on the menu, because apparently their prices have gone up since that menu was printed… hmm…update your menu maybe? Then they charged me an additional 4% to use my credit card. The lady that helped me was rude This place is a sad joke as far as I am concerned, and I will NEVER go back.

Today’s my Unilocal review catch-up day as I’ve been pathetically by finishing up reviews and getting them posted. So here we go, let’s keep it short sweet and to the point. Nice unpretentious family dining spot with good food generous portions and friendly staff. The halibut is caught fresh daily And Filleted on location in their kitchen.

I haven’t eaten here so I can’t speak to the food. They have several good local beers on tap. Pints were $ 4 /each. No complaints! When were were here there was only one guy working the bar and seating people in the restaurant. He was working hard, too! Snug Harbor is a good spot for locals or for people passing on their way through looking for a place to have a drink or bite to eat.
