Portside is a great new neighborhood hangout. There are always great beers on tap, craft beers included. The menu is great and the food always comes out delicious. Staff for the most part is friendly and quick with service. Weekend nights can get crowded and loud, and because its the local hang out your bound to run into your neighbors.

The food is amazing. One of the best burgers in middletown. Only complaint is it gets very very crowded.

Nice little hidden gem in a strip mall on Hwy 36 Port Monmouth. (Next to Walgreen’s) Looks like just a liquor store from the storefront. In the back of the store is a full size bar with a kitchen. I ordered their burger and fries, has to be one of the best burgers I’ve had locally. Drink prices less than the local competition too. Great place to check out if your tired of the usual spots in the Middletown, Red Bank, Highlands scene.

I couldn’t be happier! My local watering hole is walking distance from home and that’s a good thing! Cold beer at a reasonable rate and guess what??? The cheese steak sandwich is great, so are the fries!
The is a great vibe here and everybody is having a great time. Jen the bartender remembered me and only on my second visit.
All the usual players are here with wings burgess and cheese steaks. I shared a giant ribeye steak oozing with cheese and decorated with ample amounts of peppers and onions plus a terrific roll hold the deliciousness in.
Great job Portside, it looks like you need some more tables and chairs because it’s packed in here!
