Great selection of beer and the server knew how to pair my flight. Perfectly… The menu is electronic so it is always updated and you won’t be disappointed. However they do not serve food…

There is something to be said about an establishment that has 90% 5 star reviews and 10% 1 – 2 stars. I am a recent transplant to the area, and have recived nothing but a warm welcoming by all of the staff there. 1. If you are a infrequent visitor/patron and get a bad vibe, all I can say is that good feelings begot good feelings in everything in life. 2. If you are a fan of good beer you are in for a treat. 3. If you think you are a fan of good beer but don’t «know» what that really is, remember number 1, everyone here knows what they are taking about. 4. If you ask for a suggestion about which beer you would like, the beer you receive is 100% based on the answers given to the questions asked. 5. Reread #1 if this was anything other than the best beer bar experience you have ever had. 6. If the«guy in the beard» gave you an issue reread #1 twice.

Nice atmosphere, staff is friendly, music is good, nice selection of brew. Really clean place, nice location next to the theater, movie then some drinks can’t beat that. Drink specials for happy hour are a plus as always. First time coming here with my girlfriend we both enjoyed our visit, we’ll certainly come back by for a visit.

Today I’m generous to give one star. Went last night to grab a few beers for my husbands bday. The female server with the shaved head was awful and ruined the time. She was rude and not attentive. We were sitting at a table, that was our first mistake. Sit at the bar if you go.

We have really enjoyed the beers over the years. We have been frequent patrons and were early members of the beer club(#101/#102). The location is perfect and they do have good craft beer, but prices are expensive. But despite the expensive pricing and the rude service we have received over the years, it is a local establishment and continued patronizing. We have given this place every benefit of the doubt when in other establishments, we would have stopped patronizing long ago. But, we can no longer take the rude bearded bartender. Tonight, we claimed our mugs and will never return. When we told our bartender we wanted our mugs and wouldn’t return, his response was, «C’est la vie», that’s how much they value customers. There are too many other establishments, including WOB, BWW, etc, and new microbrews such as Tomoka and Daytona Breweries, that have multiple craft beer taps, to endure such service and expensive prices. Why the owner employs such rude staff is a head scratcher. With so many other choices, go elsewhere, I do NOT recommend this establishment.

Best happy hour in town Mon-Friday 3pm-7pm and Sat-Sunday 12pm-3pm BOGO. They also have late night happy hour. Great selection of beers. Staff is very knowledgeable and ambience is great.

Good beer selection, quite a few rare beers if you are willing to pay the price. Atmosphere is just OK, not really that fun of a place to be, just sit there and drink your beer and watch tv. Worst part of this place is whoever the short guy is with the gray beard. Not sure what this guy’s problem is, but he seems to have a stick up his butt. My friend and I walk in and sit down and aren’t greeted ever. After 5+ minutes, we finally walk to him and he still doesn’t say hi or anything, just rudely asks for our ID’s and briefly explains things and walks away. Keep in mind, it was a pretty slow night and it took forever to get our beers. He never talked to us, but seemed happy to talk to everyone else there. He thought he was cool by swearing during conversations with other customers who he has obviously never met before. Way too egotistical for a place that could be pretty cool. Major short guy issues. Otherwise, beers were very good and they are conscious of styles and glass types for each.

Wow… really clean and well decorated but the service was terrible. Super rude bartender. We won’t be going back to this brewery!

Awesome deal! H4B recently updated their Happy Hour! Now they have a selection of many different beers(not just Florida brews) all for $ 3.75! Best craft beer happy hour in the area!

Definitely a cool little bar with knowledgeable bartender. Beer is expensive but really good. Bartender can definitely help you pick what you will love to drink. Just dont ask for a domestic macro brew cause they dont have it and arent afraid to laugh at you when they tell you. Oh you funny bearded man. But definitely good place to go and chill and have great conversation and quick service

Nice place to come in when you want to get out of the heat of the pavilion. They offer me yes from the other places in the pavilion as well. The beer selection is very nice as is the wine.

I’ve been here twice now and had great experiences! They have a really friendly staff, live music on the weekends(that is actually at a reasonable volume), and a great selection of local beers. Prior to stopping at House For Beer on my most recent visit my friend and I were talking about Cigar City and their fabulous beers and ciders. We walked into H4B and the first 6 – 7 beers on their local list were from Cigar City. Score! H4B is a great place to have a relaxing evening with friends. Definitely check it out if you are in town!

Good selection of craft beer tucked away in the Pavilion. I don’t get to go here often, but every time I always get good service and a good beverage. They also have a few tables out front which are quite enjoyable when the weather is nice.

This place is good. We went here last night thanks to their Groupon. Good deals, good selection(for Florida, at least), some hard-to-find beers, lots of focus on local brews, and a good amount of TVs to watch sports. It’s awesome that they have a beer trade area, too. The reason I’m reviewing this as just three stars is the flat-out awful service. Our bartender/server(the guy with the beard) would occasionally talk to us. He used the craft beer jargon, but was not even remotely interested and did a half-assed job of answering our questions. We asked for a sample of a certain beer and instead of giving us one, he just described it, instead of, you know, letting OUR palates do the tasting). He also took several smoke breaks(which we could CLEARLY smell when he was next to us), ate food at the edge of the bar, and wrote up the wrong price for our carry-out beer. He even was texting«his boss» while waiting for our order. We’re just visiting, but if we were here longer we’d come back, as long as he wasn’t working.

One of our favorite places to go for a beer. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. They have a ton of beers, but are so knowledgable all you have to do is tell them what you like and they will be more than happy to find what you’re looking for. Plenty of TVs and they’re always playing whatever games are on. If you’re hungry most of the restaurants in the pavilion will deliver right to your seat.

Want to like this place more. Appreciate that Port Orange has a craft beer offering. First time I went, service(female) was very good and happened upon local beer happy hour(Florida beers are only with $ 3 and definitely not $ 6 a pint). 2nd time I went there was a douche bartender(male) that wouldn’t give me a beer list and only wanted to showcase his beer knowledge. Also seemed very annoyed when I asked for a taster of two beers versus blowing my $ 6 on a beer I wouldn’t like. Dude, I’m from Atlanta and I’ve had Sweetwater and Terrapin. Stop trying to sell me on how I have to try it after I’ve already told you I was at the Terrapin brewery a week earlier. Douche. Okay, out of my system now.

Great place to grab a beer. Excellent selection of beer. Very friendly staff. Very relaxing atmosphere and clean place. They do not serve food but you can bring your own and order stuff for delivery. On my last visit, we grab some appetizers from Red Robin and ate them at the bar. There are a few restaurants in the complex to choose from. Alex was our beer provider on my last visit and he was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. His recommendations for brews were spot on. I highly recommend this place for your beer needs.

Oh, H4B, why did we not meet sooner? For all those times I visited those other restaurants in The Pavilion and passed you by, I sincerely apologize. I wasn’t ready to enjoy you in your full splendor, and for that, I beg for your forgiveness! I am thrilled to find a clean, happening, draft house in the Greater Daytona area where I can enjoy my beer exploration without being judged, and more importantly, without being harassed or criticized by the regulars. H4B provides a truly warm welcome into the daunting world of craft beers. So, Craft Beer Newbies, mosey on in, and you’ll be in for a true treat! With close to(if not over) 50 beers on draft and very buxom refrigerator cases packed with bottled beer, ciders, and wines, visiting H4B wasn’t overwhelming. The bartenders were patient as we mulled over the draft menu, and helped my best friend pick out ciders(as she isn’t a beer girl). I opted for two beer flights as they were a respectable $ 10(a piece) for four 4oz pours. The pours kissed the rim of the glass every time, so I was a happy girl! In addition to getting to keep the order sheet(so you know which beer is which), the bar tenders also suggested drinking order as I managed to pick a strong sour that could have baffled the overall smoothness of the flight. Who doesn’t love a good trivia night, too? We had no clue that we rolled in thirty minutes before the showdown, but since we were already there, we joined in and had a blast.(Yes, I may have been slightly distracted by the Bruins/Canadiens game, but we still pulled in a respectable 4th place!) What I appreciate most about the bartenders is that they realize that people need to hydrate whilst drinking, and even though we closed out our tabs and finished the trivia game, they were considerate enough to let us have our fill of water before getting behind the wheels of our cars to drive home. Thank you for taking our safety into consideration, guys! I am now determined to join ranks of their beer club, so I, too, may have my own etched glass mug hanging from the walls. Bottom line, Tuesday Trivia will become a thing for us as will tackling the lengthy beer selection. The only things missing are a complete list of bottled beers and wines to help customers avoid sticker shock if they aren’t familiar with the average pricing of smaller brewery company stocks. Heck, I’d volunteer to make a list for them if I could sit and enjoy a few with the staff.

A cool beer place like so many others — but way better then the Daytona area WOB or the biker bars. This place is in The Pavilion, right off 95. Not really close to anything else, but the shopping district as a whole is better than just about anything else in the area, so here’s as good a place as any. Very knowledgeable staff, who really knows their stuff and are excited to be in the industry. Nice draft selection, too — a very wide variety of stuff to try. But their bottled selection is pretty small, and expensive. 7 beers took out $ 33! Yowza. But the people are great(I’ve always had a good conversation here with someone I never knew before). Sometimes Santa is there too.
