For a midsize county publication, the Journal does a good job with much of its coverage. It’s professionally laid out, and the articles are generally well written. Two things make me give it only two stars: 1) Some of the articles have such a strong bias one way or another, they should be in the«opinion» section. They’re passed off as «reporting,» however. 2) Adele Ferguson. come on. she’s somewhere to the right of Ellen Craswell. her rants are kind of nutty sometimes. I know that a business journal’s readers might skew conservative, but at least give column space to someone a little more reasoned. search out her column on slavery the Business Journal printed a while back, and you’ll see what I mean. what are wacked-out ramblings on slavery doing in a Business Journal, anyways? I would have given it 2 and a half stars, if it would let me. It is important to give a voice to non-military, non-government business out here – it’s very much needed. so for that they should be applauded.
