Thought I would give this course another shot. After Looking at some of the reviews. WRONGCHOICE! Played in early August. Greens where horrible and slow. Tee boxes where all shaggy. Fairways where so so. Heard they hired a new head greens keeper. Not impressed. McCormick is in no better shape from when I played in April. It was looking great until they logged it. New crew should get no praise.

Those who can’t stand generous portions please raise your hand… Just what I thought no hands. I ordered Monte Cristo and it was literally 95% bread and 5% meat. If you look somewhere on my review you’ll be able to the pic. I can go Subway and those idiots give me more meat than this golf course restaurant. Never coming back I’ll hold off on eating until I get back on Highway 18.

Recently played this course on July 30th. Best shape I’ve ever seen it in! Greens were outstanding. Fairways and tees have come a long, long ways. The new head greens keeper and the crew deserve some accolades. The area is blessed with many fine golf courses but this is my favorite.

Pathetic excuse for a golf course. They have stripped the course of its trees and it appears they have given up on course maintenance. Made the trip out with seven friends from seattle only to see piles of wood chips from what used to be trees. Fairways were brown from lack of water and many greens were diseased. To make matters worse it was 85 degrees outside with no cart service. At least provide water coolers every few holes. I’ve tried to contact management about what a rip off this course is and they will not reply. At best this course is worth half the price. Go to gold mountain or Trophy lake for a far superior experience at every level.

Under major construction and they never told me. Even when i called twice to ask how the course looks. Myself and 2 buddies took a ferry from seattle to play this course. We show up to find everything completely torn up and the greens with piles of sand and bare spots. I go into the club house at the turn to explain our disappointment. I say” maybe you guys could buy us a round of beers because the course is trashed”. Their response? «The course was actually worse earlier in the year». Wow, and they still charged like $ 60 to play this sad excuse for what i had remembered as a really great course. If they would have just bought me a beer for my 2 hr trip out to the course, I would have been back. They lied about the condition and lured us out there with no warning of the course. It should be closed it was so bad. Thanks for ripping me off mccormick. Golfers, do your self a favor and go to gold mountain or trophy lake.

Seriously uh-mazing food at the club house. My husband and I eat here at least once a week. I love the French dip(a favorite of a few of my family members also) the macaroni and cheese is also very good! We’ve had the fish and chips and it was the best fish I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time! Great prices and always great service.

This is my home course… so I, naturally, love it. But it is a great course. There are a few holes that provide a real challenge

So I don’t usually rant, but I am going to do just that. Sunday am thought we’d get a burger, fries and salads from our neighborhood grill and watch the game at home — but, didn’t turn out so great. Eddie went to pick up our order to go and brought it home only to find a greased out burger, a couple cold greasy fries, a «Wilty ½ Wedge Salad» and cold clam chowder. We keep trying to be won over by the Clubhouse BUT they just keep messing up! Only reason we go on occasion is to see Tara, Craig and Marty. I hope they get it together soon!

My wife and I had dinner at the clubhouse at McCormick Woods on June 10. In a word, excellent. This was our third dinner at that establishment, and we’ve never been disappointed. This Monday I chose the Thai Chicken Satay Sobe Noodles salad. Tender, tasty chicken on fresh greens laid atop Sobe noodles and other items that I can’t recall. Generous portion and very well prepared and presented, and not all that pricey. My wife had the mushroom burger and enjoyed that. She doesn’t get a burger very often, but she found this quite good. The waitstaff were slightly crazy(love it), friendly and attentive. We had a good time, and plan to return at the earliest opportunity. The dining area is classy, with a fine view of the golf course. The bar is adjacent, and has a television receiver(of no interest to me).

McCormick Woods restaurant is the closest place to eat from my work. Situated on a golf course, the dining room gives you great views of the course and is actually really nice inside as well. The lunch specials are a great deal and the service is pretty quick and the food is always good. It is our go to place when we take clients that have come in town for lunch.

Fresh food with real ingredients. Upscale takes on Mac-n-cheese, calzone, pastas. Beautiful views of golf course. Good for trendy food, not so much comfort food

Really great, but difficult course, particularly the back 9. One pin position(#14?) was downright unfair– guys in my group were putting their ball off the green. Needless to say, bring your short game and your accuracy. Apparently some really great deals in summer for folks who play often and don’t have to worry about the ferry.

I had a chance to play at McCormick Woods while in Washington for a business trip. I’ve got to say, the course was equally beautiful and challenging. The course was built on an old Christmas tree farm, so you can imagine the heavy amount of pines and fir trees lining each fairway. I mean, the course is absolutely carved through mother natures forest. If you are a straight hitter, you can score really well there. But if you are a long hitter, that can be a touch wild(like me) — then you better invest in some golf balls. Literally, if you aren’t on the fairway, then you can kiss your ball goodbye. Bushes, weeds, fern and heavy brush gobble up balls — and the course is designed to «kick» your balls into the woods if you do not have pin point accuracy. In fact, I switched from my ProV1’s to a cheaper ball because I was tired of losing a $ 4 ball every few holes. The front nine had a few homes on it, but the back nine did not. Small complaint for getting a cold hot dog at the turn. I was certain I would die from eating it after the second bite. All in all, a very cool course to play. It is currently ranked #12 public course in Washington on — so it is very worthwhile. Great rates and a perfect pace. Both probably advantages for being located in the cuts… 4.25 stars

Approaching McCormick Woods one can almost always see deer. Lovely area great golf course. Dining room has a fireplace to sit by and the Chef prepares a special for the eveing which is always good. Many trails to walk if you have the time. The staff is attentive and friendly.
