Great place to go to get out of the rain and warm up. I’ve tried the phở beef #2, fried egg rolls, pork bahn mi sandwich and avocado boba and they were all really good. Owner is really friendly and cares about his business. Went in at 10:30 am yesterday not realizing they open at 11:00. As I was pulling out of my parking spot he flipped on his neon open sign and invited me in. His cook wasn’t in yet but he took my order and cooked it up himself anyway.

I finally came here to eat with my daughter and we both had phó. We definitely agreed the food is delicious and the gentleman that is working is very nice. Also, I couldn’t resist ordering the Vietnamese sandwich just to find out if it’s any good since it’s one of my favorite foods. It is the best in town! There is one other place to get it in Port Orchard, that I know of. The other was just all bread, with a tiny bit of everything else. Here at Phó Orchard, the sandwich is much better! It’s sad this place isn’t busy, as it should be because it’s actually really good!

I’ve enjoyed phở from the Pacific Northwest to New England, and abroad, from Ireland to Vietnam and beyond. Let’s just say I love phở, and will seek it out any time, any place. My mother and I dined in this afternoon for our first experience here, and we were pleasantly surprised. My mom – who doesn’t exactly share my daily crave for the Vietnamese soup – was singing the praises of Phở Orchard for its fresh and savory broth. I was also chatting up how fresh the chicken in the Phở Ga(chicken soup) was. I ordered steamed veggies to go along with my soup and the serving was fresh and generous. The friendly cook/owner(?) came out to check on us near the end of our meal. When we told him how pleased we were, he offered a couple of his secrets to the deliciousness of his phở. One thing he mentioned was that he only cooks the chicken when the soup is ordered, so takes a few more extra minutes, but it’s worth the short wait! Many phở restaurants allow the meat to drown in the pot all day which can sometimes have a negative impact on the flavour. There was further indication that the folks at Phở Orchard not only know how to make a superb bowl of phở, but also care that it remains as fresh as possible when you’re taking away leftovers(as my mother did). The gentleman separated the noodles and veggies from the broth so that everything wouldn’t soak and become mushy. This place is legit. The phở is top notch and the employees friendly and personable. And perhaps it’s partially because I’ve travelled through and lived in places like Myanmar & Thailand, but the mention(previous reviewer) of a young gentleman working, taking orders & assisting the family business is totally a non issue for me and should have little bearing on one’s reviews. Of course it’d be different if they weren’t enrolled in school, but I’m doubtful that’s at issue here – and for the record, we stopped in on a Saturday. I look forward to popping into Phở Orchard next time I’m in the PNW – it’s one of the best phở restaurants in the region!

My wife and I started with the Vietnamese sandwich appetizer, it was fantastic! The waiter(who may have been the owner) then recommended the chicken chow mein which I thought was great. My wife had the Port Orchard Special which she loved as well. The 5 stars are based on the food. The interior wasn’t bad but looked to be somewhat under construction. The only thing we wish we could have had was cocktails but their bar was shut down.

This place is amazing! I was having to drive to bremerton just to get some good phở. The phở is nice and hot and you’re definitely getting your moneys worth when it comes to portions, the staff is great and attentive. I will definitely be going here from now on for my phở fix. If anyone lives in Port Orchard or in the area please go here and try them out!

What a great place for yummy Phở on a cold day!!! Awesome service and delicious food! Highly recommend *For John H. Who left the negative comment about a child working in the restaurant… I highly support kids learning work ethics and gaining social experiences through having pride in your family business, WAY better then having kids at home playing video games… Shame on you for that review!!! Good job Phở Orchard!!! We will be back

Great bhan mi sandwich… Owner recommended Pork for best flavor — agreed. On the appetizer menu, only like $ 5, good as a meal. Phở seems like every other: not bad, but not necessarily standout. If you like Phở, you’ll like it.

I wanted some hot soup and so since there was power outage last night and many restaurant’s were closed(Aug. 14, 2015), I found this Vietnamese restaurant. First thing I noticed that I felt strange was what they have under their name(‘something Grill and something’ I forget) and nothing regarding it to be a «Phở» or Vietnamese restaurant. As I walk in I see a little kid working as a server/waiter. I couldn’t believe it especially him wearing a flip flop and a t-shirt(I’m NOT making this up, no joke). I see two adult male workers, I guess they don’t speak English as the 11 year old(I asked for his age) takes the ordering including picking up the check, etc… isn’t this sort of thing illegal? If it’s not illegal then I guess it’s just me not believing ethical for any restaurants to allow 11 year old boy to wait the table! Anyhoo, I was at least hoping my food would be alright… It was more watery and didn’t have any of that ‘taste’ of «Phở» I came for. I wanted to give it a 2 star since maybe because they couldn’t afford a waitress and I felt sorry for them but business is business and I think if anyone is going there should deserve proper ‘server’ and quality food. I couldn’t believe how some of the reviewers which happens to be total of 4 reviewers that gave this establishment 5 stars. Strange that 3 out of 4 people who gave ‘Phở Orchard’ 5 stars only have review for this place, just 1??? I’ve tried many Vietnamese restaurants and I can tell you this is the only one I’m giving a 1 star.

So tonight it is hot and I just wanted to grab something to eat that wasn’t fast food. I should have probably stopped at the fast food place instead. I pop in and see if they do take out. The guy said they do so I asked for a menu. He grabbed one for me and stood over me while I tried to decide what I wanted. Feeling uncomfortable I just ordered the first thing I recognized(the menu is busy and in a small print), Teriyaki Chicken. Ugh. The wait wasn’t long but when I got home to eat my food I wasn’t impressed. The chicken tastes more like black licorice than teriyaki. I had to doctor it up at home with some sauces I had laying around. Maybe the rest of their food is good?

We have eaten here up to 5 times and have tried many menu items: phở, appetizers, main dishes. We really like Phở Orchard for both the good food and friendly service. By that I mean, small-town, friendly service. We will be back.

This restaurant is under new management, top class service and food is awesome. I was apprehensive when I first came in and not a lot of people were there, but that just means you can talk to the owners who are friendly and make some amazing grab at an awesome price. I will be visiting here very often.

This place replaced Simon’s. I was surprised to see that such a successful restaurant left, but we. still had to have our Vietnamese food! The Phõ was delicious, hands down the best I have had in the area. They make their broth with beef bone instead of chicken, so the taste is perfect. The small is a HUGE bowl, and the large is only a dollar more. I’m almost afraid to know how much that has! The owners were so kind. They had thick accents but spoke wonderful English, and had very impressive service. The man was very relatable, and was very interesting in telling us about how different places make their broths. It’s a shame this hidden gem doesn’t have a large clientele, because they are wonderful! Try it for yourself, and tell your friends!

Descent phở for port orchard. Supised to see it empty at lunch time. It may because of the local folks.

I really wanted to like this place. The two men running the place were eager to please, and working as hard as they could — hence the two stars. My husband and I went in for a bowl of their signature dish. The first bad sign was that the restaurant was empty on a weekend at lunchtime. We both tried a small bowl of the«special», which translates as Phở with Everything. The broth is backbone of a good bowl of Phở, and unfortunately, this one just doesn’t cut it. The broth is thin and missing the aromatics that any Phở fan expects — no notes of charred ginger and onion, and not a whiff of star anise or cinnamon. The thick feeling obtained from a long cook with bones is missing. I don’t know if it was just watered down, or not cooked long enough, but it just wasn’t very good. If there had been some fish sauce at the table, it might have been salvageable, but there was none to be found. The plate of garnishes was a little on the thin side — two small sprigs of thai basil and maybe a quarter cup of bean sprouts, three slices of jalapeño, and a couple of lime wedges. Pretty much what you’d expect for a single serving of Phở. The sliced beef and meatballs were hard to damage, but the tendon and tripe were both chewier than I expected. The tendon clearly hadn’t been cooked enough to get that silken texture you’d expect. All in all, a real disappointment. Guess it’s back to making home made…

Phở being one of my favorite dishes I was super happy to finally get a place in port orchard that had decent phở! This place always has friendly staff that are very welcoming. Food is fresh, hands down the best phở in the area!

Hands down the WORST phở I have ever had. I ordered a large chicken and beef phở for about $ 10(with extra meat). I was extremely disappointed in the weak, watery, nearly flavorless broth which left a nasty coppery aftertaste in my mouth. I did not taste any star anise or cinnamon, and the broth lacked the multi-leveled flavor I expect from a good-quality phở. The amount of meat you get is an insult, especially since I ordered EXTRA. I weighed the ingredients because the portions looked way off to me. I was right: 1.45 ounces of beef – mystery cut, the lady on the phone couldn’t tell me what type of beef it was. The usual serving size for beef is about 3 — 4 ounces, and Phở Orchard only gave me 1.45! 3.55 ounces sliced chicken breast is a little closer to the usual serving size, but this chicken was very tough, chewy, and over-cooked. Rather than slicing chicken breast(which makes it very tough and rubbery), a good phở should have shredded or hand-torn pieces. 1.75 ounces bean sprouts – this is barely enough to add a little crunch. 7.95 ounces rice noodles – that’s a massive quantity of noodles, which just so happens to be the CHEAPEST ingredient, so of course they’ll load up on that. The phở tasted so bad, I didn’t even finish ¼ of it. I gave it to my dog(incidentally, he got the runs!) Very disappointed in this restaurant. Absolutely will NOT go back for more. **These people bought out Simon’s, and though I loved Simon’s, I was willing to give Phở Orchard a try because I really do love phở. I asked if their phở was authentic. Instead of answering yes or no, I was told«Our phở is better than Simon’s.» Besides being rude to me and disrespectful to Simon’s, they skirted my question and refused to give me a straight answer. Should have known right then and there what low quality I should expect from the food. Definitely NOT better than Simon’s. Without a doubt, this was the worst phở I have ever had. As a side note: They didn’t even bother changing the inside of the restaurant – they kept nearly all of Simon’s decorations and layout.
