Owners are unrealistic and unreasonable. I agree with previous posts. Everything is great in the begining until you disagree, complain or dont like something. If there is a problem, addressing it might as well fall on deaf ears. And then your the one labeled a ‘problem’ as is your horse and they will take it out on you and your horse by not fixing or maintaining your stall or feeding. Negotiations are futile and its like dealing with terrorists. I have never seen someone so nasty and rude as the wife. Know many a wrangler, handler and trainer who have left because of unsafe and unclean circumstances and go unpaid for their time. Volunteers who have helped them over summer and during times of short staff have only gotten the same bad treatment. There is more going on at this place than meets the eye. Too many red flags, financially and humanely. This place just needs to be sold and under new managment asap.

Horrible treatment of your horse, the runs are fithy stalls left dirty unless you clean them yourself, horses don’t get there feed, treats are given even when posted not to the footing in the arena is not safe. The barn«manager» is rude and often drunk at night. found sand in the grain bin, they let other people take your horse out and do whatever with it… so many things wrong do not board your horses here there’s far better and safer places in Kitsap.

Several cases of food tampering there in the past few weeks. Owners are greedy and non caring. Do NOT leave your horse there! They brag about their security system and then when something happens«that» camera isn’t working.

Boy those are nice people! I was in the Seattle area visiting family scattered from Olympia to Bremerton. So, what kinds of interesting things could I do with a 10-year-old grandson that didn’t involve too much travel time from Bremerton. Aha, how about horseback riding or a riding lesson? The Riding Place came up in Google Maps as not being too far away; so, I gave them a call. The attitude of the first person who answers the phone sets your impression of a business. And, they certainly have a very good person answering the phone. When I explained to the gentleman that I would like a riding lesson for my grandson, his answer was, «Well that sounds like a good idea!» He wasn’t sure whether the instructors had any room in their schedule, but he said to come on out and at least take a look around the barn. These folks are just plain nice! When we got there, he greeted me and remembered my name. He introduced us to the owner. He took us around and told us about each of the horses in the stalls. And, some of the horse owners were proud to tell us about their horses. What a grand place! Take home lesson: you can’t always meet a potential customer’s specific needs, but you can make it so that even the folks who have to go elsewhere for a product or service they need leave with a feeling of good will towards you. We didn’t get a riding lesson, but we had a great time enjoying the hospitality!
