Visited here for date night with the hubby last night. One old man serving the whole place. We ordered a Reuben sandwich. Took 20 min. To get it. There was barely any meat or toppings, it was all just toasted bread. The server was rude and unapologetic. We will not visit here again after that.

We came to this place when they first opened and I wasn’t impressed. However coming back on a whim was the best idea ever. Not only was the band pretty awesome, the staff was super amazing and the hummus… Well that’s the best damn plate ever ordered. Dave, is super friendly and cares about his guests and it shows. It was crazy busy but he still took time out to come over and give us some suggestions on food choices and drinks and made some small talk. I think this is by far one of the coolest places to be open here in this town. Good job guys, keep up the amazing fun.

I recently moved to port orchard and tried this place on a whim. I have to say it was an awesome find. The owner Dave keeps a great selection of beers on tap and always rotating. I have seen beer from New Zealand and Scotland so far as well as breweries such as Victory out of Pennsylvania. The food here is made fresh and very good. Their devil dog bratwurst was quite good paired with a beer. Also try the oyster shooters, especially the Highlander. Careful with the jalapeño poppers as they have quite the kick sometimes!

I have only had drinks there and the prices were good and the wine was a nice sized pour. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. Fun place to spend some time. I recommended it to friends. It is also easy to get to from downtown Bremerton on the little foot ferry that costs $ 1. Ps try the pineapple cider– yummy

This is a great, little place located in downtown Port Orchard. The jalapeño poppers and bacon covered dates were wonderful appetizers. The beer selection included several imported Oktoberfest style beers(it’s mid-October). The owner took our orders personally and took the time to explain each German beer in detail(he was working up a sweat). Made us feel very welcome. Live music. The décor was mid-40s(WWII) sailor bar somewhere in the Pacific. This is a little gem of a place in the heart of Port Orchard.

My husband and I love this place. We’ve gone here several times when we felt like going out for beers and wings. They have a good beer selection, friendly staff and a delicious wing sauce that they make in house. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to our next trip in!

This place by far is my favorite place to eat and drink! The owners are absolutely amazing and friendly. They make you feel like family when you walk in the door. Loved the fact that they have live music almost every night and they have really good beers on tap. I really enjoyed their food as well. Very tasteful and great price too! I will always go there.

Has the Ruben sandwich. Amazing. Tender corner beef and curried slaw. Hubby had bangers and mash. Super yummy. I had the barrel agreed stout. The best I’ve ever had. The owners go above and beyond on food and tap. Also live music. Check it out. Great place and atmosphere.

How do they pay their bills? If they are only open 7 hours, 6 days a week and have these following expenses:(1) musician costs, estimated at 100 [if the bands basically choose to work for charity]; or $ 200 to $ 300 which is more of the standard rate;(2) four hundred dollars to staff 5 people for 8 hours at ten dollars per hour;(3) the lease; and(4) food costs where typical food costs for restaurant vary from 25 to 35%. A good restaurant such as this needs more business so they don’t have to rely on credit cards to mask pride issues they may have with former employees. It’s understandable that the swim deck owners seek reprieve but to carry these expenses mentioned above continually just to keep false pride and give the impression to Chehalis that Pete and Stacy are doing better than they are will only bankrupt them down the road unless they are spending down their inheritance.

Very friendly and great Cuban sandwich. Made me feel very welcome. I was walking my pups and they even had a water bowl for them and treats. I be going back soon.

The worst food I’ve had ANYWHERE. Dumpster-dive before you risk the output of their kitchen.

Took forever to be recognized, let alone served. The female bartender is EXTREMELY rude to employees and patrons. AND, they don’t pay their employees!

A very lively and salty atmosphere in the best regard. This neo-traditional pub offers everything from the best beer to the best food to the best live music. Owned and operated by a vet and his wife the Swimdeck is a must stop for any tourist, Sailor or Marine.

We visited this place and enjoyed the band that was playing. The staff was friendly and the service was good but the food did take a while to come out they may need some extra help on busier nights. We liked the selection of beer that they had. Some of the selection was unusual in a good way. We honestly didn’t find much on the menu that we would eat and the prices seemed pretty steep. We ordered some chicken wings and they came out with the skins soft. They were also a little too sweet to our liking as they were dressed in a sweet orange like sauce. The amount of chicken wings that you got for the price seemed very expensive. Over all a good experience but I don’t think I would go there to actually eat again. We may stop back to have a few beers and listen to music. I would love to see them improve on the menu and see the prices drop to what is average for other bars in the area.

*Nice atmosphere. *Employees were very nice, not the most efficient, but nice. *Ordered Gumbo and Jambalaya, took an hour and ten minutes to be served. *We know Louisiana creole cooking and are accustomed to spicy foods. The gumbo was so spicy hot we could not taste it because our mouths were burning. Real Gumbo should not be tomato based. *The Jambalaya was very soupy and runny… there should be no liquidity in jambalaya. *We sent the gumbo back with the complaint that it was too spicy hot and we were charged for it anyways. *It was less than 50° outside, yet they kept the front door open. When we asked if they could close it, he initially refused because he said it was too hot in the kitchen. They ultimately shut the door but later reopened it. *We called ahead of time and were told we would have a table reserved for us. When we got there, they had given the table away. They were apologetic, and to her best to accommodate us to a nice table.

Dave is a great bartender! Stacy is pretty cool too! Beer is always cold and the selection is changing constantly so you know you’ll have a good lot to choose from. If you want to know your beer before you enjoy it, this is the place to be because Dave is very knowledgeable on where his beers come from. Most of these beers you won’t find anywhere else too! Best oyster shots around! My favorite is the Far East which is an oyster with wasabi and saki with lemon. My husband likes the Highlander. Try the hummus plate too! I’d suggest more, but I haven’t tried anything else. I should probably branch out, but the oysters and hummus plate are so good! Bands play here occasionally and it can get busy, so show up early if you want a spot. The music is great. The band that plays on Wednesdays is a guaranteed good time. Overall, the décor fits their name. If you appreciate teak, you’ll love their bar. Check it out for yourself!

Great service. Great craft beers. If your in the mood for something new as far as beer check it out. Very impressed with the IPA selection. Menu wasn’t very impressive. Prices pretty steep for sandwiches and a few other things. We tried the dragon wings. Loved the peach BBQ sauce but they were swimming in it. 6 tiny(literally half of a normal hot wing) a few slices of bell peppers and celery not worth 8 bucks. I’ll return for the beer but food wasnt anything to brag about.

Great staff, great craft beer choices, full service bar, the food is great and the atmosphere is incredible; friendly, casual and relaxed. Always Blues playing and live Blues every Wednesday from 7 – 10. I definitely recommend supporting this new business.

15 minutes to have a server greet us? Problematic to say the least. But the environment is neat, and the food was good. This new restaurant looks promising… I just hope they can get the service worked out… Port Orchard desperately needs more cool places like this.
