I was slightly late in returning an unused and untouched pair of $ 200+ boots. Never have I ever had a problem getting such a silly exception to be made to a return policy. To make matters worse, no one felt the need to sympathize or provide a good attitude. Very stern and rude employees. Got a sigh and an eye roll from the genet lemon who fetched me a supervisor for the shoe dept. People still do eye rolls these days? I mean, I know you’re busy, but I need help too and I am incredibly patient and kind to employees. I called the store and asked for a manager a few days later since I was still in shock and no one seemed to be able to find one while I was there. The manager kept making a point to remind me that my boots are very nice. I never said they weren’t. I gave my reasons for wanting to return them. Are you listening? I tried to call corporate. Would you believe that there is NO such thing? When you call the 800 line for consumer relations, etc. it is for online purchases only. There is NOONE to talk to about your in-store experiences over the phone. Each store is individually operated and apparently not interested in keeping customer loyalty. After dealing with both the Port Richey and Clearwater locations, I’ve come to the conclusion that I have absolutely no interest in ever purchasing something from Dillard’s again. I deal with far too many companies both major and non to be able to accept such inconsiderate treatment. Exceptions. Store credits. Empathy. Good service. Yeah, those are all a thing these days. Icing on the cake? «If you purchased these with a Dillards credit card, you would have been able to return them today» Oh for christs sake, just take authority and make the freakin exception.

Gulfview Square Mall is not what it used to be and this Anchor Store is… while nice, not an amazing experience. I went mainly to go to the semi-annual sale, to see what bras they had available in their 65% off area. There were a few that were available in my size, but not nearly as many as there were at International plaza. I suppose that is par for the course, given the area. The store was neat and clean, there were plenty of items for sale, plenty of high end merchandise on display, but not many folks shopping. The Lingerie department was neat, well stocked and carried a majority of the same stock as the larger format stores, so I can’t complain. All in all it was a solid experience.
