Golden Corral

Hit or miss. I went in on a weekend between breakfast and lunch, my first mistake. No steak was done, all breakfast items were cleared. Usually it’s pretty good. I was disappointed this time. They had a new waiter that didn’t clear our tray right away but that was ok.

Sometimes they have really good food. Sometimes they don’t. My family used to love this place now we think it’s alright. We only go every once in awhile. It’s really expensive. For one adult it’s around $ 16.

The worse I have ever been I know it’s the corral but HONESTLY the SOS (chipped beef) has been empty now for 45 minutes! I don’t know
If you can see the mess! But they are switching from breakfast to lunch most pans have been empty more than 15 minutes! If you not going to replace it with something new out the items that were our first out! Also not once while changing out to they wash anything down!!!

We went here for our Easter dinner with our family. The place was packed at 2 pm. They were overwhelmed and the food bars were getting emptied out. The managers were trying to help out but the staff was very unorganized. The food was hot and service slow as far as cleaning the dirty dishes off the tables.

This used to be one of my favorite spot to eat at. But ever since the last owner sold this place to a new owner, Everything changed. They replace all the waitress and Chefs. The food quality and quantity all went down. I’m definitely not coming back again

Went for lunch to see if things had improved since they reopened after being shut down last year. The parking lot at 1 PM should have given us a clue — maybe thirty cars at the most. It used to be crowded, as we are in a very senior living area where value counts very highly. At $ 8.00 plus, the price would be average for our area IF the food were worth it.
We will not return to this GC again!
First, the positive. Our server Dawn was right on the spot with drink refills. She also went to the dessert bar to find us some cake or pie — there was none out on the counter. She found us some out back in the kitchen area. Here it is afternoon and they are just starting to bake? The «wonderful» chocolate fountain was turned off and remnants of the contents were dried out and smeared all over the unit. There was a hand print in the reservoir!
In general, the food on the serving lines was at room temperature, and many items in the serving vessels were caked over and/​or dried out. Many were also not refilled — just remnants. No way the health department would allow this on an inspection.
The grill area had a few cheap items out and available, but customers had to ask for any of the «good stuff» and were reluctantly served them from behind the counter.
The tables and serving lines were clean and the staff kept it that way during our visit.
We wondered if there was a manager or lead person there. If so, they certainly were not doing their job in operating the venue. We are not alone in our disappointment; we heard others commenting similar to our complaints.
I did note that we were the only customers in our area who left a tip. The table wait staff certainly deserve to be rewarded for overcoming the impact of having been provided poor food.
I wonder how much longer they will stay in business here this time around. We have so many other good places to eat in this area, and the snowbirds are headed North — the lean months area ahead.

Not a buffet person to begin with, but this place is really bad. Ambience: 0 noisy. Kids running back and forth to the chocolate fountain unsupervised. One kid stuck his hands in it. Ugh. I told the guy cutting the pies and he just shrugged. Cleanliness: 2. and that was for my server who had thoroughly cleaned our table and kept it bussed. Carpet was gross and I never dared to use the bathroom. Food: 2. The salad bar was pretty good and appeared fresh. The fried shrimp was all breading and the steak, although ‘cooked to order,’ was shoe leather (ordered medium rare). Service: 3 our server was very good and attentive which is why I’m giving a 3. The grill person was rude and the dessert guy ignored the contaminated chocolate. Value: 1. Over priced, even with the addition of seafood (it wasn’t good). I basically paid for salad — nothing else was edible. If you are not particular about what you eat and want to gorge on plate after plate, then this place is for you. If you prefer a more pleasant dining experience, go elsewhere. And if you like buffets, hit Sweet Tomatoes in Palm Harbor

Has to be one of the worst restaurant in town, slow service, not enogh food put out no flavor and not hot food.
Only had 1 person givong drinks and running cash register, he even had to run and get more cups.
The cook, making feench toast, was very rude when I asked him for some ham. He said, ‘in a second’ even though I had been standing there for several min without him even acknowledging me. When he did finally give me some it was basically thrown on my plate.
I could go on and on about how bad this places is.
Don’t go if you expect good food and good service.

Breakfast meal: Biscuits and gravy were the worst I’ve tasted. The waitress Krisgina was dusting as customers ate, and was very noisy just to be over friendly with guest.

First time there today great food and friendly staff, you get lots for your money. Would recommend this place to anyone

Always enjoy this place when we are in Florida. .We go for the early bird special which is 7.50,weekdays from 2 to 4. The staff is friendly and the food fresh… One complaint is that the dishes often have food stuck on them and you have to look for a clean one. For the money it’s a good deal.

Omg! Omg! Omg! Yes! Yes! Yes! Food-​Gasim! Went here for lunch with Husband today. Our waitresses name was Dawn. She was great! NOW Let me say… THEY GOT IT TOGETHER! Fantastic lunch! Everything was so clean, fresh, tasted good. Even New items and variety. From Liver and Onions, to Baked or Lightly fried Haddock. Steamed veggies, baked chicken and even mini slider cheeseburgers! Great job guys! I’m bringing the rest of the family and friends! This Lady trying to save you a buck spent $ 8.00 for a great trip around a great selection of choices.

We have been here 3 times and enjoyed great, friendly service on each occasion. The buffet area is clean. The waiters are very helpful and quick to collect the dishes from the table and bring water/​drinks. One of the times we came the bathroom was pretty dirty, that’s the only minus. I really liked the pulled pork in BBQ sauce with chips, although I think they only have it during lunch on weekdays. Also… banana pudding! Ha ha, it’d been a while! They also have ice creams in many flavors. One time we came the waitress kept practicing her Spanish with my mom, who speaks very little English. Pretty cool!

My Husband and I are very pleased with this location in Port Richey Florida. Food is great. Price is great. Service is great. One of the best places to eat in Port Richey. We have tried 85% of the restaurants in a 15 mile radius of here and this is the one place we keep going back to. Worth going. You wont be sorry.

Has greatly improved, under new management, and was better than the last few times I was there. buffet was always full and fresh, and they did not ration steaks; like some locations do. pizza was pretty good; even tacos. fried chkn always good; steaks were a bit dry, but not bad w/​steak sauce. was worth a return visit. staff and crew seem dedicated. better than new spring hill location; which is small and overcrowded. restrooms were very clean; impressed.

Probably one of the better places to eat around here. it isn’t perfect by any means, but I was really impressed with how fresh and delicious mist of the food was. There were a few items that seemed saturated in grease, or just poorly cooked, but that’s a staple of all Golden Corrals. No GC is perfect, but this one is definitely better than most!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in West Pasco. Some people like to call it «hog and trough» and that is fine by me LOL Their salad bar is amazing! Great selection and variety. Same for their meat selection and desserts.
Lately they have the chocolate fountain which is popular with children and adults alike. Last time I was there they had pineapple, strawberries, Rice Krispie treats, and marshmellows that you could dip in the chocolate.
This location is very kid friendly.
I have been coming to this location for years. Fortunately they finally re-​opened after the previous owner shut it down kind of drama. It is finally open. I love their fried chicken!
I will be back again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Golden Corral!!! All the food was hot. Soup was was very tasty! Salads were icy cold. Wait staff was excellent! This is not gourmet food but I think it beats the Chinese buffets by a long shot. This is comfort food… ham in your string beans country good!!! I loved the chocolate fondue :)

Was so impressed with the cotton candy, chocolate wonderfall, and other new additions. The staff was friendly and the steak cook amazing personality (Gary) made us feel so welcomed, almost like family. My nephew who is 9 ate ate and ate 2 hours later we were leaving with cotton candy in hand. I look at the ceilings in every restaurant we eat at, these are very very clean !!! Will be back !!!
