My husband and I were in dire need of a new mattress. Last one we bought was from Macy’s 5 years ago. Sterns and Foster. Top of the line, but it quickly developed «troughs «from your body. They only Warranty if the depression is a inch and a half. This time we are trying Serta Memory Foam, $ 2,400. Salesman, Dennis Springsteen was very polite and helpful. We shopped for two days before returning to Haverty’s. after a week on this memory foam, I’m not convinced its the miracle cure for my back pain. The mattress pad they Suggest you buy for an extra hundred bucks to keep Warranty is waterproof so its very hot to sleep on. Delivery guys seemed surprised they were supposed to take our old set away. I suggest they wear shoe covers in the future and not leave the front door open so critters don’t enter. I find most furniture these days is not made of real wood no matter where you buy from… too bad we can’t stop importing junk and be proud of our products.

Havertys has always been one of the better chain furniture stores, in my opinion. A step above Rooms to Go, Kane’s and the like. This store in Port Richey is a decent sized but so, so quiet. When we walked in we were pounced on immediately by a salesman. He left us alone for the most part as we browsed. We were looking for some specific pieces to complete another set and didn’t see anything we were interested in. A few things that may have worked were overpriced. They did have a cool massage chair in the clearance section that would have been nice to take home!

Turns out the experience wasn’t great. They screwed up the delivery and forgot a piece… then instead of rushing it to me they said «sometime on Saturday.» I had to sit here on Saturday for 5 hours waiting for 1 small nightstand. The manager called me when I complained about why they couldn’t just give me a time and she was apologetic but tried to tell me they have no control, everything is computer automated. Isn’t that what happened in Terminator? And we all saw how that turned out.
