Mathews Mark, OD

I never write reviews but Dr. Mathews is seriously amazing. His office feels very old-​school, where everyone is super friendly. But he also has crazy space age equipment that easily takes pictures of your eyes — eliminating my need for dilation. He explains everything to you and is wonderfully thorough.
I have been going there 5 years and I’ve never once encountered a crabby or incompetent person. (Try to say THAT about any other business!)
Unfortunately I am moving out of state and I’m so sad to leave him and his office. Icing on the cake he went out of his way to say, ‘Well if this might be the last time you are in this office, let’s get a copy of all your records together so you have them for your next eye doctor.’ And he personally printed all of the records out, put them in an envelope writing ‘eye info’ on the outside. It’s just service that you don’t get in many places anymore. I hope leaving this Unilocal review as a move away will eventually help someone find this great eye doctor!

Dr Matthews is the best in the business. He has the latest technology and upgrades frequently. Not only that, but he is very informative and takes his time with you to make sure he covers all of his bases. He is a genuine and caring man and when I go to my appointment once a year, it’s like visiting a family member. I actually look forward going to the eye doctor and the conversations that we have. I highly recommend Dr Matthews to anyone that is having trouble with their eyes or just needs a checkup.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mathews for a number of years. Due to my difficult eye issues I see him at least twice a year. Just recently he diagnosed a cataract that I barely knew I had — before serious problems had occurred. He has the latest technology and an efficient staff. I recommend Dr. Mathews with out reservation.
