I decided to give this Publix another chance, and I was thoroughly disappointed once again. Produce section’s upkeep was lacking, which is usually indicative of how the store is run overall. Most packaged items in the Greenwise lettuce section of produce had«sell by» dates that expired the next day. To me, lettuce is a staple in any produce section, and should be checked on multiple times a day to ensure an efficient rotation of product. Secondly, I was interested in buying a loaf of ciabatta bread in the bakery section. When I asked an associate if they had any in the back, I was given a look of confusion, and then shown a loaf of challa bread. I stated that was not what I was looking for, and again stated it was ciabatta I was looking for. The young girl said she has never heard of that type of bread. Really? Lastly, upon checkout, I bagged the groceries on my own. The time of checkout was just after lunch, which is the peak time during a weekend grocery day. Since there were limited number of baggers on the line, this also represents poor planning of front end management. I will continue to drive out of my way to the Publix on Becker Rd., as the store presentation and service are much better. Hopefully someone in management at this location will read this, use it as an education in what is being presented, and tighten up on his department supervisors.

I find all Publix stores to be clean, and very friendly. I love the new ordering online for the Deli. Their bakery is great(someone needs to show them how to make a Kaiser roll) their subs are really good(now thats good bread). Cake decorating comes up short but the icing is tops. Overall my idea of a good shoppng experience…

Positives: — Pretty solid wine selection. — Good bakery. The decorative cakes are pretty enticing. — Excellent customer service. The bag boy will push your cart to your car for you and load your trunk after check out. — Super clean. Negatives: — Super expensive. — Sad seafood selection.

There is no place better I’d rather check out in Port St. Lucie than this supermarket right here. I’ve said it — and you who read this are my witness. Despite Fairway Market’s, Whole Foods’ or Trader Joe’s greatness, this particular Publix is my favorite of them all. Here’s why: SPACE! This place is enormous! This is the only way to do food shopping. Even when this joint is crowded, you still have space to maneuver your cart. I love that. And I love it even more when it’s empty — early or late in the day. Then…each department could easily be its own store. Deli counter, cheese, meat, *lawn furniture*(I’m not kidding!), produce, organic produce, seafood, SUSHI, bakery(my oh my, the BAKERY! Yum!) and my favorite of all — WINE. I mean come on, Publix has anticipated your needs and delivered on them all. I don’t even care how ludicrous this sounds, but Publix is a destination for me — not a necessity. I love, love, LOVE this place. In full disclosure I need to mention one flaw in this otherwise magnificent grocery behemoth. I came here once last year for fresh tilapia and was sorely disappointed in how it cooked up: dry with a coarse, rough texture. I wouldn’t go back for that. Other than that, Publix had me at Hello.

best birthday cakes ever. Vanilla cake, strawberry filling & wiped topping. It was the bomb.

Because this is a new publix, I find it very neat and clean, with exceptional service.
