Relaxed, unhurried atmosphere with friendly staff. Happy hour drink specials are a good deal. Shrimp and mushroom appetizer served with sliced avocado and tomato had large tender shrimp. Steak fajitas arrived sizzling and fragrant with soft tortillas.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area hands down. The atmosphere is slow and relaxed there’s no rushing you out the door in this place. Don’t come here if you’re looking for Taco Bell kind of authentic Mexican food because this places seems like it was important right out of the border. Good vibes and great food. Overall 5⁄5. Also the margaritas are

Very disappointed. Their 2 for 1 drink special is a scam. First, the waiter changed us regular price. Then when we called her on it, she said she would adjust the bill and didn’t. Then for a table of 5 they brought two baskets of chips with salsa. When we ordered guacamole, which did not come with enough chips, we asked for more. They charged us $ 3.49 for chips. No salsa. No warning for the charge either. I asked for the chip charge to be removed and they declined. I will never eat here again and I will warn against it to everyone I know.

Ive had way better. Portions were very large. You could taste the tin can in the beans. Shredded chicken was soooo processed. Food was overall bland and the other 18 guests in my party couldnt have agreed more. I will not be going back.

I give two stars because When I have been actually served within the restaurant the food and service was good. My gripe is with what the send through the Eats Delivery service. Every time I have ordered delivery through them the restaurant has failed to send all my order as paid for. They have left off chips and salsa I paid for. They sent me fajita orders without the actual flour tortillas or set up. I mean how do you eat fajitas without tortillas?! How does a restaurant call themselves a Mexican Restaurant and do that? I have called and talked with the manager at least 5 times and she acts like she doesn’t understand English. Can they not read English on the order that comes to the kitchen? She never offers to fix anything and has even hung up the phone when I called to get a messed up or incomplete order fixed or compensated for! Not good customer relations. For this they would get no stars if possible.

Ate lunch here, and it was TERRIBLE! The service was totally LAME and the food was disgusting… and COLD! Ordered unsweetened ice tea and the waitress said she had to make it. Fine! But after telling me she would be ‘right out with your iced tea’ twice, I finally got it after my food had arrived and asking for it! We ordered a large quesa for an appetizer and when she brought out our lunch, I asked about it. She went back and put a SMALLCUP of melted cheese on the table. I asked her if that was a large, she said ‘no, it’s a small’. Told her we ordered a large but to leave it and change the bill. Ordered a taco salad, and it was COLD! EVERYTHINGINITWASCOLD!!! Totally disgusting. The waitress wrote our order down but obviously never looked at it. It was the grossest meal we have ever had, and the waitress??? BLAH! Will never go there again!

Nope! Blahhhh That most flavorless Mexican food I’ve ever had. Wish I had taken a photo of the«blackened» fish tacos. They were blonde at best. They should have been called«boiled fish tacos». Nothing on the plate had any flavor. Not the fish, not the dry nasty stuff they considered toppings. Some sort of dried out cabbage mixture and a pickled relish that tasted like it came out of a can and was then soak in water to remove all flavor. The service was so slow. The meal header said«served with rice and refried beans» but they brought the meal out with no beans. When I asked the server said«actually it doesn’t come that way even though the menu says it does…». Awkward. She got me a side of beans even still, which I appreciated not fighting over. Poor food. Poor service. Find somewhere else. Taco bell even. At least the food will have flavor.

This is a very shady place. Left cash tip, but the restaurant took it upon themselves to add a tip to my credit card. Only a few bucks, but very unprofessional. Hope it was worth it. Food was fine — fish tacos were well seasoned and the carne asada burrito tasted like a carne asada burrito. What wasn’t fine was the hair we found in our chips, the salsa — which tasted like a mix of onion and cilantro in tomato paste — and our waitress disappearing after dropping off our meal. You had one chance in making a good impression. You failed. What I will never forget is the waitress’ reaction to the hair: «We don’t have hair like that.» Hilarious.

The food isn’t the best Mexican I’ve ever had but it’s not bad either. The standard fare & a few interesting appetizers, entrée to try. Given that exciting food is hard to find in this town, you’ll this is ok. I’ve been at least 4 – 5 times & it’s been consistent.

YUCK!!! Worst Mexican food ever! I was so excited to try Tacos al Pastor, a favorite dish of mine when I was in Mexico. Wow, meat was dog food quality. Our fried ice cream bowl was not cooked, service was S L O W!!! Salsa and chips were good. Clearly, servers must be used to complaints because despite complaining, there was zero response. Echoing another poster, I also really wanted to like this place. It is close to my home the dining area is large enough. Heck, I was ready to have Margarita nights with friends there, but the food and service were HORRIBLE!!!

As always I had a great meal with my daughter and her boy freind. I had the 3 combination; taco, tamale and and burrito. My daughter had the enchilada and her boy friend had the burritos combination. All were simply delicious.

I wanted to like this place so much. We were in Florida, en route to a cruise, and I was craving Mexican food bad. Went to Unilocal, found this place and… was let down. First off, finding a spot was challenging as the lot is kinda small, forcing you to park in the lot next door. Not a deal breaker, but still a negative. We did have to wait and once seated it was at a nice table in a glass covered sunroom. The beer was relatively inexpensive. The server was polite, but numerous times we were left for 10 minutes of so with empty cups. We were also not given any silverware, even when the food came out. Then when we did get silverware, it was dirty and had dried food on it… sigh On to the food, which was subpar. I may be spoiled because I have such good Mexican food choices near to, but still, I was not impressed. I got the nachos and as a whole it was bland and lacked any real flavor. Both my wife and I were disappointed and will not be returning.

I had a late dinner at Zapatas on a Friday night. The restaurant was full but most people were finishing up from the dinner rush and leaving. We sat in the glass covered sunroom area. They had a guy playing the guitar and singing in there and it was a very nice atmosphere. They had really good drink specials… buy one get one free of our favorite draft beer. Hard to argue with that! I enjoyed the salsa. It had a little zing to it. The chips were blah… I’ve had better tortilla chips. The server was friendly but obviously had too many tables. We had to wait a long time for drink refills, our beers from the bar, requested missing items… such as silverware and napkins when our food came. I enjoyed the guacamole as our appetizer. I wasn’t too fond of my entrée. I ordered a plain cheese quesadilla… pretty hard to mess up. It was the most«well done» quesadilla I’ve ever had. The quesadilla was obviously burnt and gave it a very bitter taste. I could also taste other food burnt into the flour tortilla of my quesadilla. It was off-putting.

To paraphrase the comic book guy worst Mexican food ever. The overall theme was bland and disgusting. The salsa that came with the chips tasted like nothing but the giant chunks of onion. My Chile releno was covered in a raspberry sauce. The rice was dry and the refried beans were runny and none of it really had much flavor. Maybe it’s cause I lived in Houston for 6 years and was spoiled by the Mexican food there but this wasn’t worth the money spent.

I really like this place. It’s a favorite when visiting my mom and dad. We’ve had Mexican pizza, tacos, burritos, beer, nachos, fajitas, et al. They’re great. I don’t think you can go wrong here. Check it out for sure. We are regulars and big fans. PS: it is family friendly, for sure.

I have been here a few times. I really like this place. Nice place to stop for just a margarita and an app or lunch/dinner. We ate dinner here last night. It was very good. On Saturday night they have a mariachi band. They play for tips and they were really talented. We really enjoyed listening to them sing while we ate our dinner. My husband left his phone there and when we couldn’t find it, we called his phone. They picked up to tell us we had left it there. Wow, there still are honest people in this world! This place is a keeper, good drinks, good food, good entertainment and good service!

Very disappointed. Our most resent visit here was less than okay. Over seasoned and undercooked vegetables. Who knows what the«cheese sauce» actually was that is blanked over the“Baja Burrito”. My margarita was terrible. They have obviously gone down hill since our first visit here a couple of years ago. Too bad because the staff is super nice. I guess to make up for the pedestrian food. *The extra star is for the service we received.

The food is good but heavy and after you consume the food, you will need a good nap. So, my crew were in the mood for some really good Mexican. We were seated by the windows on a beautiful afternoon in Florida and the first thing I noticed were black specks and how the beverage & dessert stand stuck to the table as well as the salt and pepper bottles. Not trying to be rude but this little things do make me lose my appetite and makes me expect the good here to be mediocre which some were half and half. The waiter brought out cos and salsa. My crew were disappointed because this was their second time here and my first. They mentioned about how amazing their salsa was but the one that was served to us came from a canned paste, as if the kitchen ran out of the real, good stuff. Oops! Other than that, they make pretty decent brewed tea and my favorite is the raspberry. It’s not super sweet not bitter, just perfect in the middle. For appetizers, we tried the fiesta platter which was alright. The only thing I enjoyed on it were the nachos. The cheese with refried beans had an unsettling after taste in the back of my throat which I didn’t touch again. My meal consisted of the Don Ramon’s special. It was okay; what I mean by that is that I came to discover how crappy the silverware were. I had to literally eat my skirt streak like ripping pieces of beef jerky with my hands. That was the only thing I liked on my plate other than my side of veggies. The skirt steak was delicious and fresh! I had my sauteed shrimp on the side so my crew could eat them for me since I’m allergic so no food was wasted. I heard really good reviews but didn’t have a great experience with the meals. What happened to your mojo, Zapatas?
