Want on easter a party of 8. We were all very impressed. Good size portion, reasonable priced and very taste. Also wine was good and not crazy priced. No one had any complaints. 3 of us took home doggie bags. Sardines were amazing. so taste. I think lunch and dinner are all the same menu.

When I ordered a Portuguese steak, which is something as simple as garlic, bay leaves butter and wine(ao gosto). I get a steak with a1 or whatever he wants to call it. So politely I request the owner to ask why they put a sweet sauce on something so simple as a Portuguese steak I get a sarcastic remark«I don’t put sugar in the sauce» and didn’t even offer me to pick another item on the menu. I would expect that from an inexperienced waiter, not the owner and cook. Just thought I would share my wonderfullll experience. Thanks but no thanks!

Went there for lunch. Service was horribly slow. Took an hour to get order and food. There was only three tables at the time that were filled. And at least two servers. Food was below average quality and taste. Will not be back.

Intimate setting on a cove off the St. Lucie River. This family owned spot is a «don’t miss«. Charming restaurant with just a few inside tables and a spacious covered outdoor area. The Portuguese owner/chef serves up delicious food. But what would I know about Portuguese food? … the two tables near us had Portuguese families that cleared their plates. I started with grilled sardines simply presented with lemon wedges, olives and pimentos. My main course was pork and littlenecks(Alentejana). Small sweet clams on top of succulent pork and potatoes. Desert was pastel de nata. Sweet pastry cream baked in crisp pastry served warm. Next time I’m on the Treasure Coast, I’ll be back.

A traveler’s must, just about two miles off the Florida Turnpike you’ve left the monotony of the highway and find yourself sitting waterside(inside our out). The food is authentic, delicious, and truly flavorful and not just another one of «those» stops. We ordered many types of seafood and not one of them was overcooked — perfectly balanced. our kids enjoyed an overly generous portion of pene al vodka. The sangria is robust with a hint of citrus and full of fresh fruits. If you’re new to Portuguese food, fear not there is something familiar for everyone. The wait staff is courteous, attention oriented and went above and beyond for us and our three children!

Great place! Had dinner here with the family on New Years Eve. Everything was good. Try The flaming sausage for appetizer to share. Had the seafood bowl(forgot the name) and the veal Osso Bucco.

This is an excellent restaurant — we’ve been twice and will definitely go back for more. Both my partner and I have tried the Bacalhau a’Braz(salted cod with fried potatoes), the Bifana(pork) as well as several of the desserts and enjoyed everything. The service is a little slow but it’s a charming place and a welcome addition to Port St. Lucie.

Another wonderful meal. Our cousin from NYC came in and had to bring him here. About time such a wonderful establishment with great food, atmosphere, quaint, and on the water arrived in PSL!

Food is five stars. No doubt great food. I had a very fresh Bronzino that was crusty on the outside and flakey and juicy in the inside. Perf. My date had the Bifanas which had a balanced yet deep flavor. Bill for two came to about fifty bones. Service was slow and inattentive even though there were two servers and three tables sat. After being sat and despite our reservation(and only two other tables seated)…We waited patiently for fifteen minutes before I had to flag someone down just to get water — and even then the water didn’t come out for yet another ten minutes. I understand made to order but all we wanted was water. Water doesn’t take very long to prepare. The worst part is we received a dirty glass for our other drink order: it was really dirty and had food in it. Gross. But the food was fresh and tasty.

Best restaurant in all of Saint Lucie County. All meals are made to order and only with fresh ingredients. Takes longer than other restaurants but worth the wait. Order an appetizer to eat while your meal is being prepared. Delicious and my new favorite restaurant.

Fantastic meal. Will return. I don’t usually take the time to write a review however this restaurant is worth comment. I enjoyed Atlantic salmon topped with crab and red pepper aioli– soft, flavorful, well balanced. The potato, green beans and carrot were perfectly cooked. My father ordered the chicken marsala and commented he had never had chicken marsala taste so delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals — eggplant parmigiana, shrimp scampi, chicken palmetto. Fresh, hot dinner rolls were yum. Definitely recommend Fernando’s

I am a proud Portuguese american living in Florida. this is by far the best, most authentic Portuguese food in the state. The calde verde(potato based soup) was incredible, as well as the pork fillets and the cod fish. I can’t wait to come back here. Customer for life

I can’t say enough positive things about Fernando’s. We trusted the waiter, Mike, to bring us a bottle of red(ea) and it was exactly what we were looking for. My husband ordered faroe island salmon and pan seared sardines. He said they knocked it out of the park. I ordered the clam chowder which they make with fresh clams and heavy cream. I wish I would have ordered a bowl but then I would not have had room for the Portuguese Steak served with fresh round fried potatoes and topped with a fried egg and an espagnole sauce. So amazing. What a great find. Park and walk around the building to the left, please go past hurricanes and you’ll see the white linen table cloths. We will definitely be back the next time we are pushing through Port st Lucie.

Looking for authentic Portuguese family restaurant? This is it. Kind of hidden from the public so you have to look for it. They need advertising also because this is a gem to try. The food is like what a knowledgeable Portuguese grandma would make for her children and grandchildren. The only thing that stood out like a sour thumb was the complimentary bread. It is American and not Portuguese and to try something authentic and different, I would pay for the better bread than the dry, hard American bread, I’m just saying.

I only had the caprese salad here but I would highly recommend it. It was put together very nicely and everything was so fresh. Each tomato had the perfect amount of pesto, balsamic, and mozzarella. The rolls were good but not home made. Unfortunately, the only items for vegetarians are the salads and pasta. The rest of the menu is mostly fish. My brother ordered a steak sandwich and seemed to enjoy it very much considering he ate every last bite. I would come back here if I was passing through again.

Menu is full of authentic Portuguese dishes. Location is in a nicely landscaped area off Veteran’s Mem Pkwy. Service was a bit slow, which was compounded by the stereotypical wait staff clustered at the bar.

On the road to Ft. Lauderdale we stopped in for lunch after reading the reviews. It was a very good choice. I ordered the fish sandwich thinking it would be a burger size portion only to receive a huge sandwich of two fried fish filets. No way I was going to finish all that food! And all for under $ 10 too. The fry on the fish was perfect. The tomatoes were fresh, and the tartar sauce just right and not overwhelming. The only thing I didn’t love was the coleslaw. Not bad, just not the flavor I usually expect and enjoy in coleslaw. But man do I wish I had ordered the salty codfish salad. I tried a bite of my co-worker’s and it was really really good. All it was missing was a glass of sangria and a nicer day to sit out on the patio. Our server was super friendly and accommodating when we told her we were in a hurry. We make this trip from Orlando to South FL a lot and we will definitely be back.
