Over priced for the quality of food that you receive. Our crab cakes came out raw, the jumbo shrimp was no where close to being JUMBO, more like standard sized regular shrimp. To top if off the calamari appetizer was also raw, I love sushi but when I order calamari that is something that is supposed to be cooked! Our waitress dropped off the food and then disappeared for like 30mins, so we couldn’t even tell her our food was raw and disgusting! I’m so disappointed! what a waste of our money.

I was a bit skeptical at first when I read the reviews for this place. One of my buddies took us on a motorcycle ride that ended at the Marina. We sat down for lunch and I was impressed! My food was delicious, fried oysters and crab dip with pretzels. The service seemed to be staffed by high school kids, but they did a decent job at keeping us happy. We had a fairly large party, so it’s tough to time all the food right. We got about 80% of our meals at the same time, pretty darn good.

Drink a beer while on the River. What is there not to like about that. Grab a few apps and beer, relax! Love when the bands play. Do not expect 5 star dining, expect some relaxing fun in the sun. Feels like you are on a vacation when you stop in.

We used to really like this place at the beginning of the season but it’s slowly going down hill. Today we came in for lunch. My husband, myself and our toddler. We ordered a blackened chicken sandwich, a blackened mahi sandwich, and Mac and cheese. We ordered side salads with our meal. They never came. We got our food and the blackened chicken sandwich was all fat and completely inedible. The mahi had an extremely fishy taste to it. I’ve had this sandwich here several times and it was never like this. I knew something wasn’t right. I had to ask the hostess to get our server. When she came back out and we explained she offered to bring my husband another sandwich. Then she said she’d bring us our salads which by this point we didn’t want and said as such. She brought them anyway. Meanwhile it took 20 minutes for my husband sandwich to come out. By this point our toddler was done with her food and getting completely restless. I only ended up eating about half my mahi and my husband had to literally scarf down his sandwich so that we could get our daughter out so she would not disturb the other patrons. A manager never came out to apologize and nothing on our bill was comped. We paid $ 40 for terrible food and lackluster service. Not one time during our experience did our server apologize or try to make it right. I understand it’s not her fault the food didn’t come out properly(I worked in food service for years. I understand) but there are steps she could have taken to make our experience better and she chose to blatantly ignore us instead. Even though we live less than a mile away this is the last time we’ll be dining here. Such a shame too because we used to really enjoy it.

Three of us had a great evening and dinner. Our server Shannon was awesome. Very friendly, helpful and professional. Crabs were very good. Then we all had cream of crab soup which was okay. Not the best I’ve ever had but okay. We ordered more crabs and added steamed shrimp. All good. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere. Band was just sitting up as we left so I can’t comment on that. We had a very nice time and enjoyed some great seafood.

Great for boaters and by car. It’s a marina Resturant and tiki bar. The outdoor seating is elevated and away from the docks which makes for a better view of the water and less fuel smell you find in most marina settings. The crab soup is great. I had the fried oysters which were ok. The California crab salad was completely consumed. The crab Mac was good as were the French fries. Beet prices were three-fifty. Paired with live tropical music at the tiki bar is a nice labor day weekend plus. Check out there specials and events I suppose in face book. It seems like a destination for locals and fans. Count us as the latter Gorgeous serene view less than an hour from dc with friendly service. I’ll be back for a nfl Sunday outing as there are tons of TV s.

We had the Fish & Chips. The batter on the fish was light and crispy and not greasy — it was delicious. The fries are like Ocean City’s boardwalk fries; they were acceptable. I gave three stars because the portion size was very small and we left very hungry. For $ 13 we expected to have more food. Additionally, the wait staff was mediocre, slow and not attentive, Although the fish was delicious, I would not go back.

Hard to find but worth the effort. Good food although the service was a little slow. The surprise was the band. Really good, didn’t realize they had live music but they were good and a lot of fun!

First visit here today in years. Since it is Memorial Day we expected it to be super busy but it wasn’t. Probably too early for the big crowds — ate a late lunch around 2 pm. Great table outside in the shade. Light breeze blowing off the river. Service was a little slow but satisfactory. Ordered a couple of beers and an Orange Crush. Orange Crush — not so good. Food was pretty decent; not awesome but certainly eatable. Fish taco and crab cake sandwich, both ok. Wife ordered a house salad with shrimp but they forgot the shrimp. Waiter admitted he accidentally gave it to another table. At least he was honest. Waited about 20 mins. for six small scrimp to be delivered. Decent band playing. Bottom line: Not too bad; we’d go again.

I don’t leave reviews often but after some of the negative reviews I read on fb I had to leave one of my own with our good experience. We had our first visit to Port Tobacco Marina Restaurant today and based on this visit I am more than happy to give them 5 stars. We were able to dock out boat with extreme ease which is important to us. Then when we walked up were greeted warmly buy the bartender on the deck and directed to the hostess(since we came by boat and weren’t sure where to head to be seated). It was a Saturday visit for an early dinner and we were lucky that it wasn’t super crowded. The hostess seated is in the shade outside where we were hoping to be placed. Within a couple minutes we were greeted promptly by one of the sweetest, friendly waitresses named Mimi. We told her it was our first time there and she welcomed us with enthusiasm. She also recommended her favorite appetizers and meals to which I ordered both of. The crab & cheese pretzel appetizer came out super fast… was nice and hot and tasted awesome! I shared it with my husband and wished i had it all to myself. :) Mimi made sure we had 4 different dipping sauces to try including their homemade ranch. All were awesome. We were thrilled when our dinner came out quickly after the appetizer. Mimi was right… the crab cake sandwich was amazing! My husband had the Boom Boom tacos which he enjoyed. when ordering Mimi mentioned the crab cake was all lump crab meat & no fillers and she wasn’t kidding. The roll it was on was so good as well. She also recommended the fresh cut fries which were amazingly good! Mimi was super sweet, super attentive and very personable. She made us feel welcome there and this was the BEST meal I’ve had out on the Potomac hands down! We really enjoyed our experience and I can see us making the boat ride from VA again.

Unfriendly service. Gives off the feeling like your not really wanted there. I had hoped for a chill evening however it is anything but. I personally did not make any complaints, my food was OK, however someone in the next booth over had requested to see a manager. Being in the industry myself I pay attention to how people are serviced. The manager took forever to see them and seemed angry already… and it showed. this is not how a manager should act regardless of any situation. It will definitely make me reconsider coming again. Because of how unfriendly people were. Not the chill environment that they had tried to advertise.

Obnoxiously passive-aggressive bartender ruined our evening. We had made reservations there specifically to watch the Preakness Stakes(2nd race in the Triple Crown), making sure there was a TV we cld see frm our table & that the TV wld b tuned in to the race. It was not. When we arrived, we were told that a TV wld b tuned in to the race(we were not the only table wanting to watch it), but that the sound wld not b turned up b/that wld«clash with the [canned] Country music.» We asked the server 3x to get the channel changed on the TV. When nothing happened, I got up & went to the bar to ask the bartender to change the channel. He sarcastically replied that he wld«get to it as soon as he was finished doing his job.»(It’s not like they were busy.) We had to download software so that we cld watch the race on an iPhone. Had they bothered to change the channel & turn the sound up, it wld have interfered w their Country music for abt 2.5 minutes. The race was exciting & the food was good(I had a crab cake sandwich & Pat had a shrimp basket.) But the Preakness is a big deal, & we had deliberately tried to make an outing of it.(After all, we cld have stayed at home & watched it on our own TV.) The obnoxious bartender ruined what cld have been a very pleasant evening.

Actually didn’t get to eat. Went at 1:00 for lunch on Monday. There were two or three tables occupied and some people at the bar. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and that the servers were all busy and we could sit but a server would not be with us for at least 30 minutes. Guess this is an exclusive place.

Great view on the water! The waiter was friendly and very attentive. Crab cakes were excellent with a little old bay added to them. Probably the best in Southern Maryland. The prices were very responsible too. The all you can eat claims were delicious too! Fries were hand cut and fresh!!! We cannot wait to go back when the crabs are in. Yummm

5 stars for the steamed crabs! We ordered a ½ bushel to pick up and take home and we left with well over a ½ bushel thanks to good olé Southern Maryland hospitality! Every single crab was tasty and full. I highly recommend Port Tobacco Marina for your steamed crabs!

Food is ok– certainly not fantastic. You go here more for the atmosphere– nice outdoor seating on the water. Also, there simply isn’t anywhere else to go in Southern Maryland unless you really love Applebee’s etc. My favorite is the fish tacos. Its a nice place to go in the summer to be outside and have a few drinks and reasonably priced snacks. On weekends, they have live music inside and sometimes outside as well. The bands are usually fun cover bands but they turn up the volume WAY too loud inside. The late night crowd is pretty rowdy… and this is coming from a 27 yr old. I felt like an old woman saying«let’s go somewhere else– its too loud in here!». The service isn’t particularly great but I go there often because there is no place else to go. I give it 4 stars on the Southern Maryland scale.

We drove about an hour to this place because the menu sounded great. It wasn’t worth the drive so I doubt I’ll ever return for dinner. I would only go back for drinks on their deck. Our waitress was very friendly and overall did an ok job. A couple worker girls had their cell phones plugged in by our table and were on their phones several times out in the open and right in front of me. It was a little weird because they would hover on the wall facing us. I ordered crab legs and shrimp with salad and fries. They allowed me to sub fried shrimp for steamed which was awesome I love it when restaurants allow a little change. Not only did my dinner take a very long time to arrive but they brought my salad at the same exact time but forgot the fries. It is a real problem to me when the salad doesn’t arrive before your dinner. Who wants to eat their salad and let their dinner get cold? When my fries finally came they were way too dark and tasted burnt while also being half raw since many appeared to have been all clumped together while cooking. For $ 21.99 I got 1 crab cluster and plenty of shrimp. The one crab cluster was a bit of a let down. Maybe more crab less shrimp would be doable? Then, several shrimp had cocktail sauce poared on them. The reason that is so disturbing is because the cocktail sauce I was served came in a lidded plastic container. Therefore, I have no idea where that cocktail sauce came from! I brought this up to the waitress and she did NOTHING about it despite me saying that I thought it could’ve come from someone elses plate and it was pretty gross and disturbing. Just a little about what the rest of the table experienced: My daughter ordered the crab pretzel and it was pretty good but it needed something extra for flavor. My sister liked the catfish spring rolls but said they would’ve been more enoyable if the outside didn’t fall apart so easily. She didn’t get her sides when her dinner came out either. She didn’t like the fried fish because it appeared to have skin still attached. She liked the fried shrimp(I shared my healthy portion). 3 of 6 people complained of having a stomach ache after eating.

The before nightfall atmosphere is great for families, a good place for adults after hours. The food is more than great! I love the fish tacos. Their beer batter is awesome, the mahi fish nuggets are so good! However the service is less than positive. Slow waitress(46 minutes for one of the kids to get a shrimp basket). apparently MD smoking laws are overlooked as smoking is allowed on the enclosed deck. The chef was asked to roll up the screens on the deck because the wait and bar staff refuse to be of any assistance.
