I just happened upon this place with my mom while I was getting my oil changed. They are right behind the Jiffy Lube and I am SOGLAD we spotted it and decided to go inside… What a lovely little shop, and I love clay — I’ve never bought anything because pottery always seemed expensive but their prices were good! I can’t wait to save up to maybe get something bigger… There was only one woman in, but she was very nice and attentive and answered all my questions. I have a slight addiction to tea, so when I buy mugs it’s always for some kind of tea — she let me know that yes, they are microwave safe. No there are no special care instructions. Even let me know how many oz the cups hold(which is important, those small teacups don’t cut it for me). I definitely recommend stopping in just to see the different items they have, especially the cookware. They have what looks like a dutch oven, which I would really love to have as it’s much cheaper than a «le creuset» one.

I cannot say enough about this place! First off, the women there were so nice. I had my son with me, who is 4, and he kept distracting me from looking at everything.(He was convinced he needed to pick out 100 things for himself…) The women recognized this and asked him to come over with them and make things out of clay. They gave him his very own ball of clay and he spent about 15 minutes making a camel and asking them every question possible about clay. They answered all of his questions and were so nice to him! :) Anyway, I ended up picking out 2 stem-less wine glasses and a mug, and let my son pick out a cup too. I am really happy with my purchases! The quality is awesome and the items are so unique. A good product with a friendly staff is an awesome combination. I cannot wait to come here again if I ever visit this area again!

We have been using a clay roaster made by Daily Bird for about a year now. It makes roasting a chicken easy and fool proof. Now that we know we will always get a succulent and delicious result we have been experimenting with different flavors and techniques, adding a layer of root vegetables, varying the temperature of the oven, etc. Last night we cooked half a Spring Rain chicken for a couple of hours on a low heat(300 – 350) because we were outside playing with the goats. We had sprinkled on some lemon juice, hickory smoked salt and olive oil. I’m not sure what exactly was the reason, but this result was so good(crispy skin, juicy juicy meat) I feel inspired to write this review. I’ve tried roasting chickens in all sorts of ways — the Thomas Keller recipe is hard to beat, but this fool proof clay roaster from Daily Bird is my favorite kitchen tool. It’s also great for any combination of vegetables. Daily BIrd offers a nice selection of products and we use their cups daily. The shop is small and sweet and the owners are friendly and give you good guidance on how to use their products. Fun place on Water Street to check out.
