The offerings are pretty good for a small town but the service is horrible. If I had only bad service on one occasion I’d assume it was just them having a bad day but EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I stop in has been exactly the same; rolling of eyes, condescension at any question, lack of any gratitude, etc. I have family in PT and used to stop in every other week or so but have found myself steering away from the company lately. If you want to try a great bakery, with friendly service I’d recommend Saboteur in Bremerton.

Solid bakery. Excellent breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. All super fresh. Popular items tend to sell out by mid-afternoon. Their demi-baguette is perfect for making banh mi. One of the places that makes Port Townsend such an outstanding community. They also sell a nice selection of cheeses, drinks, etc — perfect for putting together a picnic to take to one of the beaches.

An adorable little bakery tucked away in uptown Port Townsend, Pane d’Amore puts out daily bread specials along with amazing pastries that are hard to resist. I stopped in with my parents to pick up breakfast and were greeted with a mouthwatering display of muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls amidst the aroma of freshly baked loaves of bread. I had the morning glory muffin, which was a hearty muffin with carrots, walnuts, raisins, and pumpkin. The muffin was perfectly moist and not too sweet. For something savory, try the cheese stick, a delicious crunchy snack with just the right combination of cheese. I hope local bakeries like Pane d’Amore keep surviving and feeding bakery lovers like me!

There are so many elegant treats here, that I seem to have skipped over some basics! I always get the canelles(enough to share, which I don’t) and I love the rye bread, the handmade mayo(when they have it) the veggie sandwiches are bomb, love the pickled onions, the focaccia pizza… The seedy bread is a staple in our house, but get this: the boring old blueberry muffin is THEBEST!!! Like SO. GOOD. Try one. Try all the other stuff too, but don’t skip the muffin.

I had a cinnamon twist, which was very good. I also had an oatmeal cookie, which was also good. My wife had a chocolate croissant which she liked, but the chocolate could have been melted to make it better. If I am back in Port Townsend I will go back there and definitely get a cinnamon twist, possibly try a ham and cheese deal.

I’ve now actually been to the bakery(both the actual bakery and the stand at the farmer’s market) and it’s fantastic. The seedy sourdough is my favorite, but I honestly don’t think I’ve had a bad loaf from Pane d’Amore, and I’ve tried a bunch of different types now. Although I’m skeptical of gluten-free baked goods in general, their gluten-free chocolate walnut cookies were really tasty, and I also enjoy their apple pockets and croissants(both plain and chocolate).

Delicious breads. Great local cheese case. Mostly sandwich breads rolls and sweet things. Could use some more sandwich filling options but I guess the market store is right at the corner for that.

Top notch bakery. Amazing breads and sweets. I made multiple visits in a single weekend trip. Only complaint is no espresso drinks.

Ordered a cookie, didn’t realize it was a hair ball cookie. Seriously hair in almost all the cookie. How do you manage that?

I was very excited to visit this bakery after all of the rave reviews, however it did not live up to the fame. The selection of pastries was very limited. We were already set on getting peanut butter cookies and when they didn’t have them, the worker was not at all helpful at helping us find a replacement. We tried to have a conversation on what would be a good option to try and she was quite rude. We quickly picked a few things and we were not happy with them. The biscotti and cinnamon roll left more to be desired.

Excited to visit this bakery after reading rave reviews. It was ok. Granted they didn’t have the famous peanut butter cookies so we were a bit disappointed. We got a cinnamon bun, chocolate biscotti, pear tart, and chocolate chip walnut cookie. The cashier wasn’t too friendly.

The peanut butter cookies are worth sending $ 100 to my mother to drive, ride the ferry, buy a dozen, and then ship them to wherever I am traveling through in the world. My brother says the chocolate gf cookies are the best ever and are very much needed in Taiwan. When’s the franchise opening?

The PNW really has some good pastry shops popping up all over the place. It’s at the point that I almost can’t even go into Seattle without gaining 10 lbs from delicious baked goods. Pane d’Amore in the cute Uptown(?) area of Port Townsend is fantastic though. We ended up stopping in for breakfast both days. Cuz, why not? Some of the delicious treats we all had: –canales –Ficcocia –Molasses Bran Muffin –Poppyseed muffin –Ham and cheese croissant –Cowboy pastry –Danish Bites We all loved everything we tried. I think the Ficcocia was the overall winner though. Although, that little Danish bite filled with raspberry jam and cream cheese was delightful. My mom couldn’t finish her bran muffin, so she put it in her purse for later. My dog smelled it out a few hours later and finished it off for her though. So, he’s a fan. They have a stall set up right in front of their shop for the Saturday Farmer’s Market too.

I love bread. The size of my buttocks lives as a testament to this fact, and places like Pane d’Amore only strengthen and deepen this life long love affair with everything delicious and carby. We were brought here for Julie’s quest to have Canelés, something I have not heard of and of course never have tried before. The shop was small, cute, smelled amazing and I was drooling over the walls lined with loaves of fresh baked bread and the display case full of smaller goodies, canelés included. Service was friendly and fast, and CW& I left the shop with a canelé each, a 2 foot long breadstick thing covered in golden baked cheese, and a piece of «focaccia» so heavy laden with toppings they really should have just called it pizza. The focaccia was dense and decadent, I could only take a couple nibbles before I left the rest to Chris to finish. My «cheese-stick» was light, delicious, the perfect balance between cripsy outside and soft inside, and inhaled surprisingly fast. And the canelés? Perfect — evenly baked crust the color of mahogany, sinfully and darkly caramelized but without even a hint of burnt. Crisp, shiny, and lightly honey flavored from just the right application of beeswax(yes, that’s what I said– I had to look that up but true!), contrasted with the creamy, custardy, sweetly addictive interior. Canelé is what a crème brûlée wants to be when it grows up. I wanted to keep the second for myself. I wanted to march back in and buy them all up and hoard them jealously until they were all gone and I was left in tears due to their absence. I did not however, and after finding out how obnoxiously tricky they are to make it seems I will be making trips to Pt. Townsend more often now to indulge in this delightfully perfect pastry.

I don’t know why we haven’t stopped by here before! We travel to Pt. T a few times a year for a weekend getaway and will not make a point to stop here each time. Stopped in last weekend on a sunny Sunday morning, like the locale. It’s small upon entering and imagine at peak times there must be a line out the door. All their products looked delish, can’t wait to try some other items. Our service was quick, attentive and friendly. DH ordered the chocolate croissant and I had the lemon cranberry scone. I am a home bread baker and have been for years. The quality was excellent! The best thing we had was the garlic panini bread that we didn’t sample until dinner. OMG, it was some of the best bread I have ever had. Now I am on a quest to duplicate it, until we return again!

The reviews were all accurate. Place is a tiny gem. Had a loaf of the rustic wheat, an oat scone, excellent coffee and some of the local cheese. I adore a good authentic bakery where they don’t just bake but«craft». Yum yum yum!

Hands down the best authentic honest bakery in America. i love Pane D’Amore so much. especially since ive moved away from pt and realize how difficult it is to find real, unpretentious crafted bread. Try everything and anything from here. It’s all tremendous. Thanks to the pt food bank I’ve been able to try several of their products that they donate to the bank! Delicious. Great people. Greatest bread. Addicted to seedy loaves.

The French style Macaroons are melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. Today we enjoyed pistachio. If you haven’t had one, treat yourself to a sumptuous treat for $ 2.50. They’re big enough to share, but you won’t want to. The bread is great, too. We love the seedy, fig-anise, kalamata olive and french baguettes. There is often a line. Thank goodness we can also purchase the bread at the Food Co-op in PT.
