The best Mexican food in east Jefferson county is San Juan T.(better than Port Townsend and Hadlock) The sauces are made fresh, chips with four sauces and salsa. Flavors burst out of the mole and verde enchiladas. The hibiscus cheesecake was amazing. Another day I’ll return with a designated driver and order three mojitos. And don’t miss this restaurant as you drive past Kala Point turn off on your way to PT.

Now in two locations, same great menu at the food truck now open for the 2015 season at San Juan Ave & F Street. Get the same menu and MORE at the new indoor café(+patio) out of town across from the airport: turn off Rhody Dr onto Prospect Dr. then turn immediately right into Kala Pt. Square for same fabulous tacos, burritos, tostada, plus posole, salad, & even desert(coffee flan hits the spot). Very nice!

So happy to have this restaurant open their second location near us. It has only been open for about 2 weeks and we’ve eaten there 3 times. I love the Tostada salad which is a bean and meat tostada with salad on top of it. My first purchase was the San Juan Burrito which was huge. It made 2 meals for me. My hubby had the fish taco plate and was very pleased. If you’re traveling, it’s convenient and if you live here, be sure and try it. You won’t be disappointed.

New, beautiful sit-down, real restaurant location on Hway 19 at the turnoff to Kala Point! But same awesome food and super nice people. Had a great enchilada mole today. The San Juan location reopens in March, so they will have two locations. Delighted at their expansion.

NB: they are NOT on Kearny. Currently at F St & San Juan. Current lease is up this Fall so they’ll be moving truck — don’t know where yet. They have no current website so call if you can’t find them. Also they CLOSE at 6:00 pm on Saturdays. We got there just in time. While we ate we watched a half dozen cars pull up with taco stars in their eyes, only to drive away disappointed. That being said, these are Seriously good tacos & burrito. I had 3 street tacos(carne asada 4*, pork carnitas 5* & chicken guisada 3*), hubby had San Juan burrito 4*, munchkin had a taco. The chicken gets a 3 only because it was a bit bland for my tastes. We shared chips & guacamole & salsa. Three of us were pleasantly stuffed for $ 25, but wished there was more simply because it was so tasty. There are only standing tables, so if that’s not your thing eat in your car or take it to go. We’d definitely recommend it.

Ridiculously good tacos. «Best Mexican food in Port Townsend» doesn’t do justice. These are the best tacos I’ve had in WA state, period.

Can you saw FISH tacos. The best FISH tacos ever. I was here last summer for a week and ate them every day. Completely addictive. The Guac Tostada, carnitas and Mexican Coke are great accompaniments. But the FISH tacos are to DIE for!

We Love this Mexican food. My only complaint is they are not open 24⁄7365 days but that’s a little unreasonable. Eaten here several times and it was always good.

This place has become a regular weekly dinner for us. It’s affordable and the burritos are really great. We get them with no rice because growing up in CA, well rice just didn’t happen inside the burrito. The pork black been and no rice burrito is awesome. It’s nice to have a place that is for locals in PT!
