Food was not appealing. Clam chowder was watered down with a taste of pasty potatoes no clans The steak was cold, the bake potato over microwaved. The salad was over powered with Italian dressing which had too much oregano or basil. Of al the resturant in Port Townsend I would say this was the worst meal for the price.

I had just come back from the Olympic Peninsula when my parents looked on Unilocal and saw this cozy cabin. When I stepped in the door, I felt as if I were in someone’s house! There were lace curtains on the windows, ship models, it was self-seated, and it was even ship-themed. There was FREE oyster crackers as an appetizer, and when we got the menu, there was a fair amount of choices. They all looked very yummy, but out of all of them, I picked the French Dip. The French Dip came with the best of the best and the awesomest of the awesomest… french fries! My dad asked the waiter how they were made. It turns out, they house-cut the french fries, then they roll it in rice flour, and finally, they deep-fry it. The meat and the dip were perfectly salty and they make their own bread, sauces, and dressings! All in all, it was very lovable, and I would DEFINITELY go back.

Always worth a stop. Quaint atmosphere, with killer fish and chips, and great sandwiches too.

Kids chicken tenders, chicken/bacon/avacado sandwich and fish tacos for lunch. Didn’t look to busy from outside but food was great, service was friendly and drinks were cold. Fish tacos are a must try here

Despite its modest appearance on the outside, Snug Harbor Café is a wonderful place to stop while you’re on the Olympic Peninsula. We had a terrific lunch with fresh vegetarian sandwiches, oyster tempura with succulent local Hamma Hamma oysters. Two of our party had vegetarian stir fry with fresh vegetables including bok choy. What a treat! And the service was friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Great little pit stop on our way to Port Angeles. Had their fish and chips with coleslaw which was delicious. They use fresh cod which was indeed fresh. I also had to order a slice of their homemade wheat bread. I loved that everything here was fresh and home made. Lovely place to refuel and recharge before getting back on the road.

Great halibut fish and chips! Bartender was also waiter and very busy, but he was still doing pretty well considering, cheerful and friendly working fast and mostly efficiently. I heard talk of a few wrong orders bur handled so nicely and cheerfully no one really seemed to mind. Food took so long we thought he might be the cook too for a while! We were not offered drinks or dessert(not sure dessert was even on the menu) but we enjoyed our food. Dh had a stirfry and enjoyed it very much. Had to wait for our check. Despite these things we still wish we could go back but leaving area in morning.

For cheap eats this place is great! When I first stopped here I was a bit frightened to eat at an empty café but I decided to trust the reviews and give it a try. I had the clam chowder and boy am I happy I did! I love to clam and make my own chowder frequently. I also love getting a cup of chowder everytime I try a new place… For me its like russian roulette, I am dairy sensitive and always get a sour stomach from chowder but I chance it anyways an the possibility of finding a lighter chowder. Snug truly delivered! The chowder tasted exactly like my homemade!!! This has never happened before, even my husband agreed :) Very flavorful but not too heavy in the cream, just how I like it!

We ended up here after being revolted by an enormous Donald Trump banner at Fat Smitty’s. So glad we did! Tempura fried oysters were fantastic, bacon cheeseburger was amazing, service was SUPER friendly and not political. Also good beers on tap from Port Townsend Brewery. No idea if they’re Trump supporters or not, which is as it should be! I don’t care as long as it’s not thrown in my face.

I LOVED Snug Harbor! After mostly mediocre meals in Port Angeles, the down home goodness and simplicity of this place really hit the spot! Owner is a total sweetheart, they have great taps, and as an added bonus his precious son might bring you the tab and call you a lady. My grilled cheese was 6.00 with fries, super reasonable. 23 dollars for two beers and two meals, coupled with kind service! Do yourself a favor and stop by! It’s a little gem. P. S. Their water was down so they graciously provided every patron with a bottle of water each.

My friend and I stopped here on out way back from Cape Flattery. We were so hungry! We sat down and were greeted by the friendliest guy! There were a ton of seafood options and even some vegetarian ones too. The food was great! The beers were delicious. The music was fun! What a great place! We were pleasantly surprised by how low the bill was too! :) Great place! I’ll be back again if I’m ever driving by!

I’ve been back a couple of times and I really love the food at this place, also its really close to our timeshare so we will continue to go whenever we are in town. They make their own dressings and sauces. I love the fish and chips!

Decent little café. Had halibut with side salad and iced tea. It was clean and the service was fine. A little pricey but you’re in a semi remote area. I’d come back.

We were excited to find this place in the middle of nowhere and loved the friendly service and small-town feel of it! There were plenty of food & beverage selections to choose from. They had some good local beers on tap. We both got burgers. They weren’t pre-formed(yeaa), but they didn’t ask how we like them prepared. Next time I’m in the area I’d like to go back, but will ask for a little less time on the grill. And maybe a fly swatter.

Love, love, love this place: an inside-knowledge local treasure served by a serious and skilled chef who turns out excellent«everyday» food. I am reminded of Martha Stewart’s definition of perfection as consistently doing something apparently simple to the highest possible standard. With that in mind, Snug Harbor is simply perfection. The fries are unforgettable. The burger — grass-fed beef on homemade bun — is a classic. The fish and chips are superb, including the house-made tartar sauce. Service was warm, attentive, and prompt. You can eat in a lot of fine and ambitious restaurants, but you will not find better food than what is served here. Go and enjoy!
