3 words– captain crunch chicken, the most delicious chicken coated with captain crunch cereal! Love the prepared foods they have at the deli and great quality meats, cheese, seafood, and Produce!

Last year I got food poisoning from some bad cooked pasta. Contacted them and they never replied. Should have stopped going there but we do like their meats. We had had their ribs frequently, tonight we opened up a pack of ribs, they had a horrible rotten eggs smell! Glad we caught this as second case of food poisoning would have occurred.
This place is a disgrace, beware!!!

I come here specifically for the meat department and freshly made mozzarella. It is a small store, so it’s easy to run into and out of. Wish they had more cashiers at peak times.

This place is good, but it could be better. I was lured in because they have flashy television commercials.
Their produce selection is extremely limited and somewhat overpriced. They have a very large selection of meats and seafood, and their employees were more than willing to help out. They also have an excellent prepared foods section and deli department. Their regular grocery department was overpriced as well.
I recommend it, but only for prepared foods, deli, meat and seafood. Go elsewhere for produce and regular grocery items.

This supermarket is awesome!!! Their food from the deli is delicious and they have a lot of imported products from Italy. The only problem that comes with that is that this place can be pricey! Overall, it’s clean. staff is friendly. and food is FRESH!

The reason for only 3 stars… Armando is the nastiest grumpiest old man behind the deli counter. He is not accommodating when he is out of a product or to go and get a fresh batch of raviolis when theres none in the case. I think he is down right «mean». I have given him several chances too as I am a regular at UGs. Everyone else I have dealt with are great. The sausage I found to be too fatty and lacking taste. Prices are on the expensive side unless there is a sale.
I changed it to 4 stars I think Armando is gone! Mary is a very accommodating manager and on top of things. Very nice. great store.

Italian market at highway robbery prices.
Ouch — apparently Uncle Giuseppe is part of La Cosa Nostra; there simply can be no other explanation for some of the extortionary prices in there…
Seriously folks: $ 12.99 lb for filet mignon? Hit the Korean markets and pay half that. Indeed.
They have what many other stores have, but it just costs more. For my money, I’ll go to North Shore Farms or Fairway — I’ll get great items and won’t have to take loan to pay for it.

Though it may not be the biggest baddest super markets out there, they do their specialties right.
The cheese, the pasta, the desserts, the fishes & shellfish.
And their counter area, oh my goodness *drools*. A bit expensive though, docked –1 stars for pricing.

Like North Shore Farms, Uncle Giuseppes’ puts Whole Foods (at least the PW branch) to shame. The prepared foods counter is plentiful, freshly stocked with all manner of delicious, ready to eat salads and entrees. You aren’t going to find every basic household staple here, but you can certainly satisfy your fancier-​food wants and needs.
