Cool little small town wine store. The owner makes his own wine and there are a lot of favors to choose from. Lots of quirky décor. You can even make specialized wine bottle labels at this store

This is a winery my husband and I definitely plan on visiting again. They had a nice selection of wines that we both liked and their wine tasting price is reasonable. The atmosphere and the employees are very welcoming. They are also very knowledgeable about their wines and wines in general.

Fun winery. Owners are very friendly and not wine snobs. Definitely worth stopping in for a tasting. We purchased 6 bottles and the first one we cracked open after we returned home, had a yellow cork so I think we get half off the next bottle when you bring the yellow cork back. And we will definately make the trip back!

The girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to walk around downtown Port Washington when we walked past this great pace. We went in during the mid-afternoon. The location has been around for 5 years and used to be an artists studio so they have great artwork on the walls and a huge, artificial tree as you walk in with grape vines hanging off it. This is a family run business with their dog, Sassy, that is the sweetest dog there is. They selling equipment and kits to make your own wine, wine accessories, and of course, all of the wine they make there. All the wine they sell is reasonably priced around $ 10-$ 18 with the majority being $ 12.50 per bottle. You can sit down at the bar that seats around 8 people comfortably and they will give you 3 one ounce samples for free to try. They also give you a sheet with all of the names and styles of wines with a pen to write your thoughts during tasting. For $ 5 you get 5 bigger tastings that come with a Vines to Cellar wine glass — we did this. After trying several wines they still had around 20 more to try! We decided on a few bottles, which they packed up nicely for us, and told us about upcoming events. The service was great and they are extremely friendly. It is a block off the main drag so I feel it gets lost in the shuffle yet definitely glad we stumbled upon this place. I’ll be back soon enough.

We were in town for the Main Street Fall End of Farmer’s Market Fest and after seeing their both decided to stop in. The $ 5 flight was a fun way to work our way through a bunch of the wines. The one that was remarkable was the Chocolate Port, otherwise there were a lot of fruity wines and sweet wines. We picked up a bottle for later at the hotel, it was a fun place to stop in and visit and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back on a future trip.

Groupon introduced me to this place. Nice Place. Good assortment of wines at reasonable prices. Interesting flavors. We shall return to support such a nice local establishment. It’s worth a visit.

Such a cute little place. Although, probably not a place for die hard serious wine people, a great day trip for those of us who like wine, small business, and home operations. They have a $ 5.00 tasting flight of 5 half glasses and you get a cute little glass to take home. They’re good at sweet fruit wines and dessert wines, don’t expect too much from their reds. Nice little store, people are very friendly, prices reasonable. The people working the wine tasting work for store credit. Obviously, they believe in the product and have drank plenty their fair share. Great way to spend an afternoon!

The same road trip as my Beanie’s review, and another gift certificate for Christmas! I was definitely surprised when I walked in to Vine to Cellar. I was planning on going in, grabbing a few bottles of wine, and then leaving to go find something to do in Port Washington. The girl working there immediately offered us their wine tasting, $ 5 for 5 pours. Can’t beat that. We had a seat at their wine tasting counter, looked over their list of wines, asked questions, and chose our 5. The girls working never rushed us, they happily answered our questions, and engaged in small talk. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. After the tasting, I was easily able to choose which bottles of wine I wanted to spend my gift certificate on. I wished either I lived closer, or Vines to Cellar was closer to Milwaukee. Then again, maybe I don’t because I would become a regular for the wine tasting. Adding Port Washington and Vines to Cellar to the great day road trip list!

Sitting next to the venue for the local farmer’s market, this quaint wine store/bar explodes with small-town charm. The smell of wine-making is potent upon entering and still quite memorable months since my last visit(tricky brain). They offer wine-making classes, and from what I calculated, quite a deal on wine if you were willing to make it yourself. Their best-tasting wine is their fruit-juice wines, which I assume wine-enthusiasts probably stay away from. We also like their chocolate dessert wine. Though I can’t say I was blown away by their regular selection, the wine-tasting was a very pleasant experience. The lady behind the counter entertained us for literally hours as we chatted and tasted the afternoon away. Vine to Cellars showed two beginners like my wife and I a great time and we learned a lot about their wine-making.

As an avid wine lover with over 100 bottles in the cellar, this is a must see/stop when visiting or living in Port Washington, and as a local, one of our favorite places. If you’re a «wine snob» who only likes expensive bottles to boast about, or wines with heavy tannin and body, you won’t find that here. The wines produced here are small-batch, easily drinkable wines, perfect for everyday consuming with meals and friends, which is exactly how wine should be! They have wines to appeal to any pallet, from dessert wines and very sweet whites, to fruit wines with great nose and fruit-forward taste. On a hot summer day sitting on the patio, nothing beats a nicely chilled glass of their Peach Apricot Chardonnay. The reds are nicely drinkable with a solid amount of oak, and fruit, with a nice subtle balance of the heavier flavors typical of a variety of reds. Jacobs Ladder is our all-time favorite. This is a perfect stop for gifts for the wine lover, or just to kick back with friends for a glass or two. Not to mention, the owners, Jim and CJ, really enjoy what they do and make everyone feel welcome, while also educating people on wines, wine making, and how to really appreciate wine.

We stopped at Vines to Cellars when we were in Port and really enjoyed the tasting. We each tried three samples because three is the limit before you have to pay. We liked most of what we tried, but the pomegranate wine was our very favorite. We just loved it! The owner/operator was very friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed hearing about the wines named after their grandchildren and dog. Unfortunately, about two weeks after we went, the cork in our one remaining bottle of pomegranate wine popped spontaneously and wine gushed out all over our bar and carpeting. I’ll probably call there to let them know this happened, but we live about an hour away and rarely have occasion to go up there. I doubt we’ll drive up there just to get a replacement. I’m sure that was just a faulty bottle or something. But it was our favorite :( If you’re in Port, give it a shot. It’s worth it.

In trying to be fair about this, I think anyone visiting Port Washington for the day should at least visit this place. They have cute wine gifts and offer wine-making classes. However, my husband and I felt that they should experiment more before selling their own wines. We enjoyed the white fruity wines better, although we are red wine drinkers. We could not bring ourselves to buy anything, but appreciated the kind, friendly owner of this establishment. Try it. Maybe you will like it?
