Loved this place. So good. Got a bunch of meat, the brisket was by far the best I’ve had. Much better than Atlas in Grafton.

Tried Yummy Bones because we saw the article in the Sheboygan Press. It’s relocating in June and after we revisit them I’m pretty confident it will be a 5 star review! Ribs were excellent as well as the pulled pork sandwich! I had a side of the Mac and cheese which was also very good! The owner… very charming! I’m sure the new location can only benefit his already successful business! Can’t wait to go back!

Had the brisket sandwich and it was the best I ever had. Excellent flavors in the rub /smoke, I can’t wait to go back.

First time and I will be back w friends. Loved the pulled pork and the Ribs and the sides. It is all about the food. Best flavors in BBQ in the Milwaukee area.

First time was good. Last few times have been half — heated reheats, at best. You might as well give me my food cold, and just let me reheat it in my own microwave. You’re going to kill somebody serving your food at unsafe temperatures..

Horrible. Can’t believe all the good reviews. Brisket was reheated and like rubber. Ugly brown color and no smoke ring. Mac and cheese was clumpy and dry. And the coleslaw had no taste to it what so ever.

No, no, no, no, no. The reviews are not consistent with the experience. Ate there on 10⁄30 at 5:30PM. There was no one else in the place. Hmmm. First, when I asked some simple questions about how they smoked(e.g. on-site or transport in, pellet or stick, etc.) I got no response other than«I’m not the boss so I cant talk about it.». That should have been a bad sign, since these types of questions of other pit masters have often resulted in kitchen tours with technique discussions that only stopped short of secret ingredients. Second, there is no BBQ smell at all in the place. Zero. Where does the smoke go? Last, the hot food was all room temp at best, like it had been sitting for a while. I can’t say for sure they really cook on sight I will stipulate the the meat itself tasted fine, could have had a bit more rub, but fine. However, the total package was pretty poor. The pulled pork was mushy, indicating to me that it had been sitting for a while in its own juice with a little heat on it. Definitely overcooked and with an oiliness to it that was really odd. The four bone rack of baby backs was burned on the ends, rendering the last ¾ inch of meat inedible. Even after the discussion that indicated I knew something about BBQ, they chose to serve me burned ribs. Ribs that I wouldn’t have served at home.(I know, I could have asked for a re-serve, but shouldn’t they have had the good sense not to serve them?) The sides were not any help. The beans were pretty spiritless and lukewarm, with nothing to recommend them in the future. The jalapeño slaw was dry and the overwhelming flavor was heat without the creaminess you expect from good slaw. I cannot recommend without real improvement.

Just got back from eating Yummy Bones and it is by far the best BBQ we have ever had. Our family all agreed that the pulled pork sandwiches were the juciest we have ever tasted. I got the sample platter and everything was delicious on it. The homemade BBQ sauce could easily be sold in stores and I would buy it every time. My only regret is that we are from MI and can’t come here every week! Also the service was exceptional! Love this place

One of the best home style cooked meals I’ve had in awhile and the best value in Oz County! My husband had the ribs and I had the spicy chicken wings — excellent! The sides are equally scrumptious — we ordered green bean casserole, garlic mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese and jalepeno coleslaw — all wonderful! Top it off with the sweet melodic guitar of Steve Nitros made it a perfect night!

Excellent!!! Best Barb-B-Q in Wisconsin! Taste of Mississippi here in Badger Land. Ask LeRoy to sing for you! Great hospitality will be back! Thursdays they have live blues. Refreshing. Simple décor. Laid back.

This was our first time here, we had the Beef Brisket sandwich with Mac & Cheese and the Pulled Pork sandwich with House coleslaw. The meat is served with sauce on the side — the best way to serve bbq. The beef and pork were incredibly tender and juicy. There are only 2 bbq sauces but both were very good. House coleslaw is a bit bland and I would try to Jalapeño-Cilantro slaw next time — and there will be a next time. This is a very casual restaurant. Order at the counter and food is served on paper plates with plasticware. Platters range from 9.99 to 20.99 depending on size/meats and include 2 sides. Sandwiches range from 6.99 to 8.99 and include 1 side. The sandwiches with 1 side were the perfect size for us – filling but not over-eating. Alcoholic beverages are beer or hard lemonade/root beer.

There is admittedly very little competition for barbeque in Port Washington, but Yummy Bones is definitely the best place to go in town. We have never actually eaten at the restaurant and prefer to do most of our ordering for carryout. The atmosphere is quite and located on the lower level of a bowling alley, which is kind of charming for a barbeque place, but not too many other kinds of restaurants could make that work. There are usually not too many tables when I pick my order up so I am guessing that most of their business comes from takeout orders like mine. The workers are always very friendly and pleasant to talk to while you wait for your food to be packed up. It does take some time for them to get your meal put together, but this is barbeque and every barbeque place that does it right is like that. If you want fast barbeque, go to a chain and sacrifice quality for faster service. The meat is very good, with great smokey flavor and served dry so you can control how much sauce you like on your food. Personally, I think all barbeque should be served that way so you can’t hide flavorless meat under a blanket of BBQ sauce but others may have a different preference. The sauces are great and I highly recommend the loaded baked potato. It is covered in mountains of pulled pork, baked beans, melted cheese, sour cream and is my favorite thing on the menu. I am personally not a fan of the mac and cheese, which is disappointing since that is my favorite side and a go-to when I have barbecue. That is really the only negative I have about this place though, everything else is outstanding. If you’re in the mood for barbeque in Port Washington, give Yummy Bones a shot and don’t waste your money going somewhere else for your pork fix. Get the loaded baked potato and some brisket or ribs on the side, you will be full and happy and probably wanting to come back for more tomorrow.

OK I’ve been traveling for about 2.5 years for work, and have been using Unilocal to find the best restaurants the whole time, but have never written a review before now. I figured I’ll start with this one. This is a relatively new restaurant in the PW downtown strip. I got the sampler platter which came with St. Louis style ribs, chicken wings, two sliders, and two sides. I got the jalapeño-cilantro cole slaw and the baked beans. All this for around 20 $. The meat is served dry(how BBQ should be) and comes with sauce on the side. The coleslaw was more bland than I expected but still was OK. The beans were great. The food is delicious and the owners(?)/workers were very nice and pleasant to talk to. I will be coming back here with colleagues when we are back in town.

Arrived at Yummy Bones about 3pm for a late lunch, not realizing they close for a few hours between lunch and dinner. The owner was there running errands and he reopened to prepare us a take out lunch. The St. Louis ribs were very good as were the potatoes and baked beans. Most unusual BBQ sauce, sweet with a little tang to it. Hope his business continues to succeed. Great food and super nice guy.

Wow, talk about the art of BBQ delivered into straight up perfection for you to savor while it lasts! We absolutely loved the ribs(St Louis and Baby Back) with a rub to cherish with just the right amount of char with tender juicy meat that falls off just right. The kids loved the burgers too and we agree with their delight with what they were willing to share. Sides are great too, loved the jalapeño cole slaw. Will be back every chance we are back in Port. Don’t miss this hidden gem.

Amazing. Did I say amazing? Amazing. If you love Barbeque, then you need to find this place. Flavorful, robust, tangy, sweet, original… Second time here in a week, my wife and I are smiling! Worth the trip!

My first experience was great to the point I wanted to come here on my birthday and came back the day after when my birthday plans had to change. I am here for both the food and great service. The owner Robert is very friendly and will make great recommendations for you. I look forward to coming here more often and using him for catering. The beef brisket and pecan pie were awesome last time. Today, I’m waiting to try something new as I speak and my mouth is already watering. As a fast growing new business I look forward seeing this place expand to include delivery service eventually. And, ok more of a side note, the location is close to one of my favorite past times bowling! Also, being in the heart of downtown Port Washington and so close to the lake let’s me know my summer will definitely include Yummy Bones BBQ.

Don’t be in a rush if you come here. Was in here with only one other table and we waited 20 minutes. The food quality is good and happy to have a place like this in Port.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and just wanted some BBQ. Hello flavor! I love the bark and smokey flavor of the pulled pork. The beef brisket was tender and flavorful. The BBQ sauce has great flavor with a little spicy kick which pairs well with the flavor of the meats. All home made side dishes of coleslaw and Mac-n-Cheese were great sides with the meats. My only want would be some yeast dinner rolls, BUT that’s just me.

Delicious! The brisket and the pork were outstanding. We will definitely be back! The owner let us try two types of brisket, but both we’re amazing. We got dinner for two, sides, dessert and beer for $ 35.
