What a gem in the small town of Port Wing! My husband, sister and brother in law stayed here for one night in a mini road trip to Duluth and Bayfield. Instead of staying in Duluth, I looked for lodging between the 2 places and found Larson Creek Farm. Located on 100 acres, the beautiful home is a wonderful place to spend some time. Mary and Leann, the owners, make sure you are comfortable; the rooms(there are two) are roomy and each have their own bath. {no tub, only a shower.) There are trails to walk on the property, if you desire. Chocolate chip cookies were offered at arrival and on the counter for later snacking as well. Nicely decorated throughout and the breakfast was simply amazing… fresh berries, granola, frittatta, sausage, homemade bread, a cherry coffeecake, strawberry sorbet, coffee and juice. The $ 90 a night is worth every penny… stay here!

I just spent a very nice, relaxing weekend here with family. The B&B is really well designed; it has a rustic feel but with modern conveniences(good WIFI as well as a bathroom and shower attached to each room). It offers a very peaceful setting. The owners seem to pay a lot of attention to detail. They’re crafts-people and I think they have created much of the décor which includes hand-crafted quilts. They’re also very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and cooked amazing breakfasts for us. If you visit you might want to check out the Friday fish fry in a nearby village called Cornucopia. We had a great time exploring Port Wing as well as the sandy south shore of Lake Superior.
