Academy of Dance Arts

We love Academy of dance. We started our two year old daughter there for their fantastic music program with Mr. Paul. After a few weeks my daughter kept watching their dance classes, after, her music class and pretending to be a dancer. Today was her first dance class. The program seems very well organized and my daughter loved it! The other dance classes in town do not start at 2 years old and they do not look to be as we’ll organized. Come and try it out. They even let us try it before signing up! They are not on Portage Road anymore. They are off Romence by the mall.

Incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. Put my 4-​year-​old daughter in their beginning ballet class and the instructor didn’t even show up to the first class. Then my daughter got put into the recital, even though it was her first class and their posted policy is for students to have at least two semesters of experience to participate. They charged outrageous amounts of money for everything (including a $ 60 costume), and we even had to buy tickets to the recital. After only 7 half-​hour classes (no makeup for the missed one), my kid got thrown onstage for a pricey recital and her name wasn’t even in the (crappily printed) program (one of many that got missed). The owner even had the nerve to make an announcement during the recital that parents should not be critical of all the mistakes and obviously poor planning (not to mention money grubbing). We totally got suckered by this place. Don’t you get suckered too!
