This is a fun spot to knock around on the ice when there’s nothing else going on. It’s by no means a large rink but it’s presence adds a bit of flare to Portage. It’s also the first outdoor refrigerated rink in the area. Parking and drop off are a little tight but once you’re there it feels nice to skate at an outdoor open air rink. There are typically a number of kids around so don’t plan to have the place to yourself. Cost of skating is minimal — $ 4 and skate rental is only $ 3 There are food concessions, rest rooms and a warming area. It’s also attached to the bicycle trail in case you want to head toward the Celery Flats.
