I’m not a fan of these types of places. I get flashbacks from Ponderosas. This place, however, is nice. It’s spacious, the good is good, and the staff is attentive.

Pizza buffet but they also have a full salad bar, chicken dinner bar, and dessert bar. You can order a pizza and have it made fresh and delivered to your table. Everything I tried was very good. The best was the Mediterranean Pizza (vegetarian, with roma tomatoes and spinach) and the catcus bread. You have to put the vanilla soft serve on top… omg awesome!!!
I only wish I would have had more room in my stomach to try everything!

I find it weird that this one you have to pay more if you want soda. The the other ones I’ve been to it just comes with your buffet. I was disappointed with the salad bar. They had either ice burg (no nutritional value) or a lettuce mix that had corn and tomatoes mixed in (don’t like corn). So i ended up not getting a salad. I was happy they had Mac and cheese pizza. I’ve never seen this here. The chicken broccoli Alfredo and BBQ chicken pizza was good. And my favorite the buffalo chicken. I also love the dessert pizza. Got my blueberry but they didn’t bring out a cherry one so that was disappointing. Overall not bad for the price.

The food there is excellent. Our family has visited this location many times and the food is always great, the restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend the Pizza Ranch!

It’s ok if you like frozen pizza. The salad bar was pretty good. The place was nice and clean but not worth the price we paid for less than average pizza. I’d rather go to Cici’s.

I’ve eaten at other Pizza Ranch’s with little impression. This one I’ve been to a number of times and my only real complaint is that I eat too much. The chicken is excellent, the salad bar is usually well stocked and fresh and I always request a buffalo chicken pizza because it’s so yummy (which comes out pretty quickly). As with any buffet, if you come in during the off-​hours (towards the end) the freshness can suffer, but I’ve not had quality complaints, and I’ve always found the staff to be courteous and attentive.

Waited 5 minutes to get seated while employees milled about and no one batted an eye at us. Walked by the buffet and it all looked like low quality crap. We just walked out and went to Culvers.

It was completely OK. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was excellent. If you are looking for a pizza buffet, that also has chicken and a salad bar, this is a great place to go. If you are looking for someplace special, look someplace else.

Middleton, WI
Ahh Pizza Ranch, How I love thee. This has to be the most authentic Western-​looking pizza ranch EVER (well in Wisconsin anyways). The Pizza Ranch in Baraboo and Reedsburg DO NOT compare to this one. The Portage Pizza Ranch is brand Spank’n new! The chicken is great, always juicy and hot (However I like Chicken Legs) and they always run short. There is always good pizza on the buffet. The staff is friendly and don’t seem as pushy as the Baraboo location. Overall the value and service are 5 stars here.
I will continue to make the trek from Middleton to Portage for this god like chicken. (Well until the Sun Prairie location opens then not so much).

This is just what I expected from a small town pizza buffet. I paid a little more than I would have liked. But while lacking in variety the food was pretty good. All the staff were smiling and friendly. The place was busy I expect this business to do quite well. It’s worth a visit. If not five stars.
