Ahhhh… World Buffet. «Mini» salsbury steak. All the way from Sysco in Tomah. Stuffed mushrooms floating in greasy water. Cheap pasta salad from the 5 gallon pail. Yep its a real Wordly place. After being in San Francisco at chinese restaurants where even the patrons spoke no english this was a real culture shock. Please shoot me.

Our family loves the World Buffet! Yummy food with lots of variety. The family that runs the restaurant are always very nice. Very family friendly.

Food is kind of hit and miss sometimes. They do have some very good dishes. The Mongolian grill is really good and is included in your buffet purchase

We got off the train in Portage and looked for a place to eat. While driving we saw World Buffet; a run down old looking place. we decided to go anyway. With a name like World Buffet you would think it would have food from around the world, but it did not, just a lot of empty seats and few things to choose from. All meat was over cooked sushi was like rubber and even my soda was the wrong kind. We ate one small plate and left.

Adequate food. A little over priced but they seem to get away with it since they are one of two Chinese food places in Portage. I’d say go to «chipan» if you want good food. World buffet is definitely adequate though. Worthy of better than a one star review.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! This is absolutely the worst, skimpiest, most awful buffet I have ever been to. And to make matters worse they play CHRISTIAN BLUE GRASS MUSIC (think O’ Brother Where Art Thou) that about made me insane. This was a One Plate Buffet fer sher!
