Pretty good if you can find it. It’s a bar b que lunch truck that moves around. Better than expected if you happen to see it you should stop by.

Best BBQ, ribs are meaty and fall of the bone. The sliced beef has a solid texture and yet breaks apart easily, tender, juicy. So far my favorite ribs place near Humble

Jo-Jo’s catered an event today in my honor. The food was great! These were the most tender chicken breasts I have ever had. The prices were very reasonable and the display was unbelievable!!! Take a look at the photos. I will definitely patronize this business again for other private events.

I was fortunate enough to find Jo-Jo’s BBQ on my way home the other day. If you blink and you might miss it — the establishment is in a trailer in front of a mechanic’s shop(already meeting the profile for great BBQ.) My suggestion is that you give Jo-Jo’s a try if you are in the Conroe/Kingwood area. I had a good feeling about this place the few times I drove by — they have an obviously well used smoker positioned right in front of the building(which is more of a double wide). The smoker itself looks like a large version of something I could purchase from a specialty BBQ pit store and he clearly cooks everything on this device. They basically have a few lawn chairs out front, so don’t expect to sit in a cooled air conditioned restaurant. What you can expect is solid BBQ. I ordered to sandwiches — a brisket and a rib meat(this was a first for me — the shave the meat off of their beef ribs and put them on a bun.) One thing to note — I visited Jo-Jo’s for lunch and it was around 1:15 or so. These were the only two lunch items they had left, so it appears they run out of food on occasion(I don’t see that as bad, that to me appears they have a quality product.) I ordered my sandwiches from the owner(I think) and waited for them in my car. The service was prompt and the food was actually brought out to my vehicle directly — I know I have mentioned this before, but service does matter in my book. Moving on to the food, both of the sandwiches were generous and cost about what I would expect for BBQ — $ 6.00 per. The brisket was very tender, moist and smoky(still not as much as I would have liked, but I am kind of crazy when it come to smoky flavor). I could tell he used a well marbled piece of brisket, but I don’t mind that at all — it wasn’t dry and that is better than most. The rib meat sandwich was almost like a chopped beef sandwich, but with a uniquely rib flavor quality. The sauce probably put Jo-Jo’s over the edge for me — it’s a thinner, more Texas style but had that sweet southeastern BBQ quality. It’s not spicy(which I typically prefer), but it seemed to compliment the meat well making that specific BBQ flavor harmony that we all know and love. So in summary, Jo-Jo’s is an excellent, off the beaten path BBQ shack with good food as well as good, friendly service. Finally, I have discovered a BBQ joint up North that meets most of my demands. Hopefully more will be added to the list!
